Need help with cutting....

Good day to all!

I am 5'7", and at 161 lbs. I have lost a lot of weight in the past year, but I can't seem to lose that last little layer of fat to truly make my abs come out. I can see the form of my abs and other muscles, but that last layer of fat is getting annoying. I am trying to cut carbs to only a little at breakfast and pre or post workout, and I usually consume one gallon of water per day. Otherwise, my nutrition is usually pretty good. Also, I have been staying consistant with a diet consisting of approximately 2000 calories per day.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I want to make that six pack come out!

**edit to clean up my post**

I dont know if it is because i don't know everything about the site or not, but i cant seem to any info on a lifting or cardio routine although i assume you are doing both? Some more options you can consider or try:

1-Thermogenic/weight loss supplement: there are some pretty good supplements out there for this. There is a topic for people posting their favorite non ephedra supplements. There are also plenty of good threads and logs on peoples opinions over these supps in the supp forums. Some off the top of my head that i've heard positive reviews for: VPX Meltdown, Controlled Labs REDuction, Lipo6, the new version of lipo6 which is lipo6x, and there are plenty of others. You could also find a ec stack and go that supp route too.

2-HIIT cardio training: If you only do standard endurance cardio right now, you could attempt to try HIIT training. The nut shell of this to do cardio with high intensity intervals, hence the name high intensity interval training. There are some articles on this site you can read up on here. The idea is pretty simple tho

3-increase amount of cardio: you could also look into alternative cardio sessions as opposed to standard runs, swimming and etc. If you have been following the same cardio approach for awhile now, then your body has become more efficient at it and you should alter your cardio routine in some way. You could increase intensity, distance, or duration of cardio if you are doing jogs/runs.

4-change your workout routine: if you have been on the same plan for a extended period then you should consider varying your routine to ensure your body hasnt adapted to the routine your on now. If you are looking into a new routine you could look into one containing circuits or super sets which may help burn more cals in the gym. However, don't look into extremely high rep ranges as that probably won't do too much for you. Instead keep your focus on gaining strength to ensure that while cutting, your muscle loss is at a minimum.

5-carb cylcing: you could also look into a more carb cycling approach too to see how that works for u. here is a link to a article on this site about carb cycling.

just some ideas^^

aye if you have a good clean diet going then it could be your workout routine/cardio that is holding you back. If you could post us your workout routine that would help.
