So Bush's U.S. Patriot Act wasn't using the American Constitution as toilet paper? Guess is worse being spied by the government day and night without noticing it, and harrasing foreigners that being taken away guns. And torturing prisoners in Guantanamo Bay is legal, unless it's American citizens?

Sorry if my reply came across wrong, I am TOTALLY against the Patriot Acts I, and II, they should be burned to hell and repealed immediately. That pesky little national ID card that passed in 2005, yup, Obama wants to pass it. How do you guys feel being asked the phrase, "Papers, please."? I for one, as a legal citizen, feel the govt has no right to demand that I give up all my information to basically the highest bidder. Being a Muslim has nothing to do it with it, Obama is not in power, it is the banks, specfically the Rothschilds. If there is pure evil in the world, it's them as sure as the fact we all die. The Fed must go, look up Executive Order 11110, JFK signed it, it's still valid and it effectively abolished PRIVATE banks holding our money (now that sounds nice doesnt it?!) Look where it got him. I had a a hard time, and still do believing this all, because to do so, not only is very depressing, but seems so ridicolous. Remeber ignorance is bliss...but don't be surprised on Jan 21-22.
"Let me issue and control a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws." (Mayer Amschel Rothschild, Founder of Rothschild Banking Dynasty)
“You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the eternal God, I will rout you out.”
Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, who said these fiery words to a delegation of bankers in 1832:

The content of your post is strangely non-responsive to the content of the post you quoted. Nothing Fitstud said was wrong. Obama voted yes to the Patriot Act.

Yeah, cpschroe is on crack. His ranting didn't make any sense. I'd like to take a moment and ask all MCcain supporters to sit back and watch MCcains camp bash Palin on the news...Loyalty? not really. :/

What mistakes will he fix, and how?
(the most vital issues to me are the economy, civil liberties and foreign policy. Somebody who wants to somehow INCREASE government spending, who sued banks for not giving out sub prime mortgages, voted yes to the bailout bill, the Patriot Act and supports pre-emptive war doesn't match up to my vital issues, but I understand people have different priorities)

Excatly, same issues I care about. Obama this, Obama that, I must admit he's got a great bandwagon going. Change....Using the word means nothing, change what, and change how? Don't hear any of that do ya? His voting record is for the Iraq war, for big banks, for taking your civil libs away, does that mean anything to you, or just repeating a cliche phrase, "lights out!" When you got our military policing us in direct defiance to the Posse Comitatus Act. From wiki:
On October 1, 2008, the US Army announced that the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command (NORTHCOM), as an on-call federal response force for natural or man-made emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
This marks the first time an active U.S. Army unit will be given a dedicated assignment to NORTHCOM, where it is stated they may be "called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive (CBRNE) attack." These soldiers will also learn how to use non-lethal weapons designed to "subdue unruly or dangerous individuals" without killing them, and also includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and beanbag bullets.[3] However, the "non-lethal crowd control package [...] is intended for use on deployments to the war zone, not in the U.S. [...]".[4]

Conservatives need to abandon the republican party, and realize the neo-con farse that it is. Only then will I bother to acknowledge anything that 'matters' to a republican.
Bush has done NOTHING conservative, and absolutely everything elitist and neo-con. IF you care about ANY issue, you would not vote republican at all- with the exception of abortion. For everything else, there are political parties that are not hypocritical.

Didn't president elect B "HUSSEIN" (Isn't it too bad you couldn't make this blink too?) Obama say the same thing in his victory speech? Is his expression of this sentiment some how different than yours?

What mistakes??? Oh no brother, where have you been for the last...hmmmm...8yrs!!!
Look, all of us common folk know we had to vote for the lesser of the evils when it comes to politics. I by know means believe any politician "walks on water" and yes they do a little more than bend the truth when they campaign.
Just keep in mind that the expectations set for Obama is greater than any other President elect in history! Partly because he's african american and partly because the Bush administration was probably the worst America has ever seen and we deserve better (Yes, way worse than Carter).
It's obvious we all have different interest and you can't satisfy everybody ( I have no idea where some of you were at when Bush ran this country into the ground), but I'm sure Americans as a whole won't settle for anything less than forward prgress from Obama.
It's still a fresh loss for MCcain and some of you will be mad for a few more weeks but you'll get it over. Shoot, we did when Bush cheated to get back in office...Just saying.

Eh, you are confused. I know what mistakes are made. (Pre-emptive war, massive overspending, abuse of civil liberties and the constitution with the Patriot Act, etc).
I want to know which ones you think he will FIX. You wrote 5 paragraphs without answering this. C'mon...
I have already given my opinion on the subject. Somebody who wants to somehow INCREASE government spending, who sued banks for not giving out sub prime mortgages, voted yes to the bailout bill, the Patriot Act and supports pre-emptive war is, in my opinion, continuing and worsening the major mistakes of the Bush Administration.
I want to know why on earth you believe otherwise.

It's amazing how many people bought into the "hope and change" mantra without even thinking about the possibility that he wouldn't completely fix all of our problems.
Just because we're switching from a republican president to a democrat president doesn't mean the last 8 years are automatically wiped off the slate. He will actually have to do things to make his "change" happen.

and the things that the president must DO in order to change this country for the better, will wind up getting him assassinated.
it's why americans need to wake up, stop being a bunch of pussies, and take their country back!
REVOLUTION.
our founding fathers, the boys who faught hard for our freedoms, rights and liberties, are rolling in their grave right now.
i'm severely disappointed in the american people right now. they need to wake up and stop getting lied to! they are letting the gov't DUMB them down.
americans are too caught up in bull**** that doesn't matter... american idol, paris hilton, sports, their IPOD, getting drunk, partying, going to strip clubs wasting their cash on dirty skanks who do nothing but TEASE them, etc..
americans are lazy, careless, selfish, stubborn, stuck in their 'beliefs', ignorant, cocky, arrogant, and it makes me SICK.

it really is too bad that all these people who wanted change voted for obama instead of ron paul. people called the man crazy when really, he represents the change that most people in this country want. greater respect for civil liberties and the consitution, a cutback on american imperialism, the elimination of our economy's dependence on the federal reserve, and fiscal responsibility.
big government policies have gotten us in this situation, and somehow obama supporters are quick to believe that big government is the solution.
i'm almost glad ron paul didn't get enough support in this election, because now he won't be blamed for the ****hole we are likely about to enter. here's to change in 2012.

Ron Paul supporters are idiots
"it really is too bad that all these people who wanted change voted for obama instead of ron paul."
Funny how no one who i know who supports Ron Paul ever bothered to read his bigoted "Patriot Papers" of the late 70's. Abolish the IRS? Is he running for dictator? Privatize everything? Yeah healthcare is going well. Libertarians are idiots who do little research and think that the federalist way is relevant to 21st century politics.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden will be a breath of fresh air for this country. Everyone should thank god that Sara "Africa is a country" Palin is not about to be our VP, along with "I DONT CARE if we stay in Iraq another 100 years" Mccain. By the way that offended a lot of Iraq war vets i know.
Smart, reasonable, logical leadership.
