Update From Dawn:
- 6 people in class (small division)
- feels good, nailed prejudging
- Confidence is high, and her trainer CJ said she has the best back on stage.
CJ (her trainer) says she is back to back with another girl for placing 1 and 2
- The judging will be biased she said, one of the judges is familiar with a girl who is on stage or has a strong relationship with her. So the odds may be against her, but she wavied this off and said she didnt care because she is proud of how her body has dialed in, and she is amazed at how good she looks in her pictures that people took of her on digital cameras.
- Getting ready to get back on stage at 5:30-6:00 for her T-walk tonight, and should be done around 9, I will have the final update about that afterwards and will update with that later 2night.
- She has spent most of her free time with other competitiors, soaking up a lot of valuable knowledge from the others who are more experienced, and getting a nap in the afternoon,

Dawn, SOO SORRY I couldn't be there.
Work/School has killed me this past week and I could not possibly leave. Wish I could be there to see you dominate right now.

Just got the update from Dawn Post-Show
I will let her do the explaining / talking when she gets in here.
I will say this.. Politics played their part, what she placed not only shocked her, but the crowd and everyone else that competed because everyone knew she should of done a ton better.
My hat is off to you dawn, the hard work, sweat, tears, and pain you put into this prep just to get screwed in the end. Keep that chin up babe, i love you, and am always here for you.
Come June 9th, a whole new era is ready to hit the stage and this time there is nothing but #1 on your mind.

At least we know she put forth the effort and placing means nothing since placing is subjective!
We all know you kicked ass and we're behind you 100% of the way - you finally accomplished what so many people can't! My hat comes off to you...if I had one on!

Congrats and Happy Birthday...
Hey Dawn...Don't know if I can post here or not...not a Scivation member but wanted to say how great you did yesterday..truly remarkable statement you made on stage... you and C.J. and co. should be very proud...great to see the hubby again...he's quite cute and he was so excited for you...Gus couldn't believe the transformation you have made...and with each show you do it gets better and better...hope you hitched up the feed bag last night and celebrated...Dan and I wound up going to Denny's and I ate some Moons over My Hammies...didn't churn until the last bite and had to take a moment..to get my bearings...no doubt you are sore today from all your flexing.. oh...looked at my hammies and have adhesive burns that actually do resemble some Bibilical skin disease.. yikes..thanks again for the spray adhesive or I wouldn't have been able to wear that suit..let me know what that was will you as I have another show in three weeks...I agree that there were political statements being made yesterday... I knew it from the time of weigh in...had a judge turn around when I got to the morning show yesterday trying to tell me I was too small, women shouldn't have such low B.F. it's not healthy to be like that...that I need more size..heck the show hadn't even started and I was covered up in street clothes...trying to play mind games I guess...told her I was quite happy with what I was bringing to the stage and that both she and I knew quite well no one stays like that year round..had to laugh she just gave me more ammo for my slingshot..just saying you can never tell what judges will be there and from show to show what physique they will be looking for that day...its a crap shoot..but a fun one and valuable for all the shows you are going to win in the future... load your slingshot cause there are some giants you're going to be taking down...again Happy Birthday...will be setting in the opera pitt this afternoon toasting you with M&Ms and who knows whatever else I can get my hands on...Cheers!!!!

Hi everyone!
So sorry it took me til now to get on here. It's been a crazy busy day and I am still recuperating from the exhaustion of this last week and the show. I will give just a brief now by saying that I had an awesome experience competing yesterday. I got my feet wet and learned A LOT!! There were 5 people in my height class. You will see 6 girls in the line up but that's because there was no one in the "B" height class and only one girl in the "C" height class. So, they had the "C" girl stand in the lineup with my class.
I placed 5th and EVERYONE was in complete shock. My posing coach (CJ), many other trainers and competitors, and also many in the audience that have competed or been in the body building business came to me after the morning show and said to me that I should take 1st or 2nd...maybe 3rd at the very least.
The outcome of placing me in 5th place to everyone by surprise...even several of the girls IN MY HEIGHT CLASS were amazed at my placing.
So, I did go to the judges and asked 3 of them for feedback. It got frustrated after the third judge's response and decided I'll let Tommy and whomever else give me feedback from the pics. The feedback I rec'd was to work on my abs (that was a given), to work on my glutes (ok, I can see that too) ...the third judge said I need to work on my shoulders!!! (What?!...were you at the same comp as me? Is what I was thinking. The 2 girls they placed above me barely had shoulders. ) ...any way... I am fine. Actually, I am great! I am not down on myself...and I have accepted that it is what it is...and it's time to focus on my off-season training and bring an even better physique to the next competition that I do.
My main focus while prepping for this competition was to know in my head and heart that I brought my best and I "belonged" on that stage! I KNOW I accomplished that...and I am very proud of my accomplishment. I WILL bring it again, and I will bring be a force to be reckoned with at my next competition!!!... so my competition better bring their "A" game...
cuz IT'S ON!!!
I only have a few pics so far. I will post more as I receive them from friends and family, etc. Here are some pictures from the morning show (pre-judging) that CJ took for me.
These are in the 2 piece posing suit. I'll do a separate post with the 1 piece because there are too many pics for one post.
In this picture the following is how the placing went ...from Left to Right: "C" class girl, 4th Place in my class, Me (5th Place), 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place.

Delts #2 in the making? My my Dawn you are taking after Kera with that upper body appearance!
You looked fantastic girl! Your body dialed in just as you wanted it to come showtime, and you gave it nothing but your very best, you kept a smile on your face through the hard times even when it did not go your way. You took what you could from your first experience on stage and now you can apply this to the next show in June where you will rock the stage knowing your body a lot better from the first time you went through prep, and now you know how your body will respond peak wek, so a plan that worked you can stick by.
You have made us all proud, and showed us that this can be done given time, hard work, dedication, and most of all inspired everyone around you to be a better person through sticking to this prep through the struggled you encountered.
You make me proud.

1) You looked hot. And definitely looked like you belonged on stage. So I would DEFINITELY check that one off your list. Your smile, grace and posing spoke volumes about how much this comp meant to you. You kicked ass! And I'm sorry the judges couldn't see that!
2) Kim is a great photographer

I am ABSOLUTELY floored at the results, FLOORED!!!
Dawn you looked STUNNING!!!!!!!! VERY solid showing.
One thing that I have seen Layne say before ( this is paraphrase ) is there are times that you'll never know what the judges were thinking....
That said hold your head high because you made more than a statement on stage. They comment about your delts made me fall out of my chair. Yours were more pronounced than anyones.
Also, and that shot from the back. Your pose was hands down the best. The 2 on the far left look as if they are trying to fly, and the 3 to the far right look as if they have something stuffed up the kazoo, LOL!!
Anyway it is time to march forward and leave this one in the dust. You are off to bigger and better stages....
You'll def rock the future,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,buleeeeeeeeeeeeeed dat!!!!!!!
