Asics model JY 301. they are very similar to the Cael model on the champs sport add. I love them and they have held up very well. I got them on Ebay for about $15.00. Whatever kind you get, if it is a wrestling shoe, stay away from the split sole models. You want full contact with the entire sole.

I've got a pair of Adidas, with the high top. Such an improvement over my ****ty chucks. My chucks got bent like bananas so my heels kept coming off the floor when squatting narrow, and oly shoes made my knees travel too far forward. The wrestling shoes feel fantastic and much more stable than chucks.

ya i go to a powerlifting gym most of the time and 90% of the ppl in there have wrestling shoes. some of them wear chucks for squatting but otherwose the wrestling shoes. i was thinking about the adidas as well cuzz they look cool and are only 50$. right now i usually take my shoes off to bench or deadlift because when i deadliftin the whoes i have its like im pulling na extra 3/4 of an inch, and when i bench i cant get the hang of using my feet when i wear normal shoes

I recently started using the wrestling shoes I got for coaching as my lifting shoes and they have made a huge difference. I feel so much more stable pushing my feet off the ground when performing all of the heavier lifts. I feel like an idiot for using regular gym shoes for so long! I have a pair of the Cael Sanderson's by Asics. I think they look a little funky which I like, but they fit better than any other wrestling shoe I've ever used before. I think they are much better than Chucks.

I remember seeing Cael win his final NCAA wrestling match for the championship. Man had a perfect record, 159-0. Ridiculous.
