To anyone that takes Muscle Milk
Has anyone taken muscle milk based on the suggestions on the tub? Was wondering how beneficial it may be. Just seems like cytosport wants you to take it as much as possible so you keep buying more.
So my question is has anyone taken it pre workout/post workout/before bed, and if so, how were your results? Seems like a lot of muscle milk to be taking.

ive been taking it for post workout/before bed for awhile now, and ive seen gains from it. yeah it does cost a decent amount of money, so you could look into another product that doesn't cost as much. but my personal opinion is that i love it for post workout/before bed.

I love the stuff, cake batter is by far the best flavor. I take one serving in morning, one after workout and another one before bed. Sometimes i will add an extra scoop of powder to my shakes, ie, 3 scoops for a little extra caleries. It does get pretty pricey at three shakes a day but that the cost of training..DaRooster

So your taking 2 scoops every serving right.... so in total 6 scoops a day dude? Seems overkill, did you gain any fat at all? I plan on using at least 1 cup of milk to each of my servings, so I am worried I will be drinking way to much.

Sparco. I am taking it with water..Tastes great, you really dont need to mix with milk. Also yes, 6 scoops a day at least, sometimes 8. I have not gained any fat at all whatsoever. Its only 300 calories, not to bad, 5 grams of fiber and no lactose (my friend). Hope this helps..DaRooster..

I came up with this plan:
pre workout- 1 scoop w/ 1 cup 1% milk
post workout- 1.5 scoop w/ 1.5 cup 1% milk
before bed- 1 scoop w/ 1 cup 1% milk
What do you guys think

protein is rather minimal at 1 scoop, only 16 grams. At two you are still only looking at 32 grams but with 8 oz milk you get a whole 40 grams.

Is money the issue. Is that why you want to run at one scoop. If that is the case, I would prob have one serving (2 scoops) after your workout and one serving (2 scoops) before bed..Hope this helps bro..Good Luck..DaRooster..

On workout days, I take it as soon as I can post-workout. 12oz 1% milk + 2 scoops. On offdays, I take it sometime in the evening, sometimes later than that, with the same amount of milk and powder. If my mental math is right, that's about 500 calories per shake.

na money is not the issue, I am just worried about getting fat from it. I gain fat pretty easily, was at 22% body fat like 4 months ago, now at 7%, so i am worried about gaining it back. Just trying to find the best times and amount to take it

Sparco, look around then, I know Cytosport has a whey protein supp dosed at 90 calories per serving, one scoop. Price is not to bad either, its primarily a whey protein supp and not a meal replacement though..Good Luck..DaRooster..

As most of it is casein, I'd rather keep this expensive (but effective) protein strictly before bed time. This way it lasts me a quite longer.
100% Whey is perfect for post w/o and way cheaper.

If you're considering Muscle Milk for its slow-digesting property, you might as well get a better quality of casein like Ultra Peptide 2.0 or ON 100% Casein. Miceller casein > Caseinate.
