Bodybuilding is really about creating the body you want. If you think you don't need arm work currently, then stop. This might give you more time to spend on something you think you need.
You can always start again.

I'm not sure what bodybuilding you are talkin bout Willis
Symmetry and conditioning usually beats out pure size.

Based on what you wrote in your profile I would say that you should decrease/maintain the weight you use and increase the sets/reps but continue to do bicep work.

OP is saying "arms too muscular". Or, "not symmetrical".
Not training them is an option.

Did you look at her photos?
She is hardly overpowering in the arms from what I see.

I honestly don't know where you are coming from. I thought you simply misunderstood me...
how does "creating the body you want" NEGATE symmetry and conditioning?

I am giving her advice based on her desires.
I'm assuming she knows what she wants better than you or I....
So, your advice, in order to CREATE symmetry, and AVOID "size for the sake of size", is to simply keep training bodyparts for size that are getting out of proportion (in the OPs opinion)?

I'm not arguing.
Just trying to figure out what people think.
A judge in a bodybuilding show or figure comp is not going to have the same idea as someone who builds a body "to their own liking".
They are going to score on things other than what "you want to look like"
Thats all.

Judges? Where was competition mentioned?
Bodybuilding, like Swimming, or Running, or Gymnastics can mean "The sport" or "the activity".
"The activity" is based on your OWN personal goals. This is from the context of people trying to shove arbitrary routines and goals down ones throat.

WTF? Are you serious?
Is it BODYBUILDING.com or COMPETITIVEBODYBUILDING.com?
You are saying that "Bodybuilding" only refers to the sport?

I was going to suggest dropping the direct arm work and sticking to the basic compound movements thrice per week but that might actually make them bigger..

I did see Andre Agassi suit up and play baketball.
The other night LeBron James scored a goal for the Penguins.
Jay Cutler took off his pads and won the Olympia.
Oh wait was that the Football player or the bodybuilder?
Would I go to a cooking website to talk about racing cars?!?!?!

SHOULDN'T THIS BE MOVED TO GENERAL OVER 35 SECTION to get her help?
Wait a minute... you guys have my head spinning (easy to do), so it may help me to understand better in backtracking here...
(If I'm talking out of my butt, then see if there's anything helpful in what I'm saying and "leave the rest"... ha)
Everyone's asking questions/pics 'cause it's hard to tell what's up with your arm mass without actually seeing and also knowing about all of your other work. Simply stating the obvious, as others have alluded to, in that a lot of the mass effect in the arms of us gals can come from work involving arms that is not JUST concentrated arm work like curls. Especially in that the tiny bit of info you give states that you're doing "heavy" work.
And then there's a 'whole nutter conversation about arm symmetry and balanced work of course!
Based only on the little bit of info you gave, I'm thinking along the same lines as many others because it obviously sounds like you're doing it for "toning" vs. mass. If it were ME, I wouldn't just automatically stop concentrated arm work until I first started trying to go "lighter, righter, higher" reps to point of fatigue not failure (I'm not addressing everything that needs to also be discussed re: balanced work). You can then progressively step up the weight. As everyone else mentioned, depending on how much "heavy" weight you're doing with other work that also involves your arms, you may have to do the same in stepping the weight down there too since you seem to be getting upset about increasing arm mass.
If you can, have someone peek at what you're doing overall as they may be able to help you add in overall conditioning equipment work, like erg work, in addition to weights. It may help because in addition to what you're doing, it will also compensate for what you're doing in getting the "look" you want in your arms and/or elsewhere (too much to try to explain here).
Just my thoughts......
Wait a minute, shouldn't this topic/? be in the regular over 35 section so more folks will chime in? You might want to ask one of the thread lords to move it for you.

I agree with Defiant1
If there is any bodypart that an individual feels is getting too big proportion wise to everything else then there are two options.
1/ Quit training that bodypart directly.
2/ Bring up everything else to match.
I gather you're a recreational lifter as am I?
Then don't overly worry, just do what you feel suits YOUR goals.
