feel so BLAAH
I have NEVER been this big. i'm so tired of being at work and can't even bend over without feeling like crap.. i'm so sluggish, don't have hardly any energy anymore unless i pop Energy pills. what would be the BEST bet to lose around 50 pounds pretty quickly on a decent diet.. other then cutting out carbs... is there a regular normal diet i can do.. like eating subs and eating healthier foods. i'm about 6'3 and around 260 pounds now. wanna get down to atleast 200 again.

Cardio and a full body workout a couple times a week would be a start.

If your not willing to make any big changes, you are going to have a hard time. I am not saying you have to cut out carbs, but your attitude isn't conducive to losing that amount of weight.
50 pounds is a lot of weight, don't expect to lose it quickly unless you do a crash diet, which is stupid so don't. There are plenty of diets around, which are fairly easy to follow. Start here http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbmainnut.htm and choose something that looks acceptable.
And your laziness may be because you aren't working out, so make sure you lift, or do something aerobic.

i like to make incremental changes generally.
why don't you add exercise first. Keep all the eating habits the same.
Day 1: Weight train half your body, do some light cardio like walking an incline for 25 minutes after
Day 2: weight train the other half of your body, do some light cardio for 25 minutes
Day 3: rest or do cardio
repeat this until you need a new challenge. Who knows, that might be enough to drop you a few, maybe 10lbs.
Once you can't lose anymore weight, then either rev up the lifting part, or preferably start doing the diet changes that people suggested.
I don't care what anyone says, but diet is always harder than training IMO.
and a surefire way for you to burn out, is to try and do both immediately.
burning out is horrible on your mental state, horrible for you physically, and a waste of time.

It seems like you are at least somewhat motivated- you made a good first step by coming here. Motivation is what will determine if you achieve your goal.
A flawless diet and custom tailored workout routine is useless in the hands of someone who isnt willing to stick to it. The first thing you need to do is decide if you are willing to COMMIT to this or not; most people aren't. This isnt an easy thing to do- think about it, this isnt just a few weeks/months of "dieting". Its a decision to reverse your LIFESTYLE away from your current one which has made you fat and feel like ****. I only mention this because it sounds like you're looking for a quick fix.
Make a decision, and stick with it. Start tomorrow by cutting out all of the garbage that you've been eating (fast food, processed carbs, soda, etc). Go for a walk as soon as you wake up for a half hour (wake up early, if you have to) get home and make a good breakfast (2 whole eggs and 3-4 egg whites and some plain oatmeal).Drink plenty of water.
Get in this habit.
I promise you, you will feel better (both about yourself and overall) tomorrow.
After you adjust to this a bit, start making other changes. I agree with everyone who has said not to jump directly into it (like the people that blow a ton of money on health food, exercise clothing, and a gym membership only to realize how hard it is and quitting in a week). Like I said, we are changing your lifestyle here.
PM me any time. We are all happy to help you as long as you put the work in

I also have worked construction and 5 meals is possible.
1. breakfast
2. cheese, raw veggies, etc. @ morning break
3. lunch
4. power/energy bar that you carry in tool belt @ mid-afternoon while working
5. dinner
Aside from diet benefits it will make a difference in sustaining energy.
Best of luck. You can do it.

I can relate to you on many of the issues you are having, been there once, twice, three times. etc. The best way is to think of its as, brushing your teeth, well I hope you do it routinely. Just get up, and if you have a gym membership, or if not, get one, ymca is a great place. Just get on the treadmill and WALK. A fast paced walk for a good 45 minutes. It can be tough, but after a daily routine of it. You will see internal changes with yourself. But I, nor any of the other members on this board can hold your hand and make you do it. You are the only one that can take control of your life. By taking control is knowing where you'll be in the next day and so on. Choose your lifestyle and make the right decision now, to earn the benefits later in life.
