3 vs 2, no difference, for anything (cutting, bulking, BMR, anabolism etc..).
Layne Norton is suggesting 4 hours with 3-4g Leucine (total, not supplemental) at each meal to get increased protein synthesis. I would (and do) eat 4 hours or less personally, but that's definitely more of an opinion than anything else.
For metabolic rate, 2 or 4 or 5 hours probably doesn't make any difference though.

There's no factual study that says contributing to your diet every 2/3 hours increases your metabolism. With that being said, I just find myself being very hungry within 2/3 hours.
Typical people go to lunch and consume a 1-2k calorie meal, which, but caloric intake standards, would hold you over for many hours.
When I eat, my intake is nowhere near that, but it's full of clean and proper nutrition, so I'm hungry after a mere 3 hours.
In reality, it doesn't matter. Try for yourself and see how it works out.

it's not that freakin serious. Eating so frequently would mean you're not ever making yourself satisfyingly full, and you're spending so much time eating. Stop being so preoccupied by this extremely small and mostly irrelevant "advice" which you hear and simply work hard at the gym to get results.

I don't think there is any need to eat every 2 hours a day I mean hell I get up at 6am and go to bed at 12am. I'd have to eat 10 meals a day.
No need for that. I personally feel my best and can get all my calories in eating 5 meals (not counting post workout shake) thoughout the day.
