You don't have to do cardio everyday. I mean, there are guys that don't do any cardio and drop bodyfat (with a SOLID diet)! That's not to say you shouldn't do it, but you know what I'm getting at. I personally do cardio about 5 times per week (when I'm cutting).
And no, the treadmill is only one type of cardio. The elliptical and the stepper count as cardio.

Atleast 5days. I prefer 6 to 7 just because my diet calls for LI cardio. It's a breeze.

i do cardio around 5 times a week.. Cardio can be pretty much anything that gets your heart rate up and requires you to move a lot... I like to switch it up and keep it interesting so i will switch out between bike, elliptical, stairs, treadmill, swimming, and if you play basketball than play it your hardest and i guarentee you will burn a good amount of calories =)

This might sound dumb, but what I always do (on top of cardio at the gym, of course) is whenever I'm walking to class or anywhere, I walk with perfect form and posture, and push off with my toe each step to give my calves more excercise. I also walk extremely fast. That way your getting a better workout while doing something that must be done (like going to class, or wherever you have to go). I find it's been increasing my stamina and now I just do it normally, which is healthy in any case.

I do cardio 5 days a week, including a mix of LISS and HIIT Cardio. The only 2 days i dont do any, its because i've trained Legs and im resting.
Im a lover of running and sprints, so cardio for me ''sometimes'' is for fun. BTW, its not needed in a daily basis to get ripped or cut.

just a comment on this. while walking faster will be better for your heart, it does not mean you will burn more calories.
a quick physics lesson: Work=force x distance
work is the number of calories you burn and force is how much you weigh. notice that speed is not a variable in this equation, thus making the speed at which you walk change the number of calories burned by very little or not at all.
running and sprinting do change this effect because more muscles are put to work.

Good question OP.
A lot of people have different views on it, so I might as well give mine.
On MWF (weight days, will increase to MTTHF in 4 weeks) I will do at least 10 minutes of any type of agility I can find. I'm still in athlete mode, that's why I do it this way. It can include, dots, ladders, boxes, etc. (so yes, steppers, etc count as cardio too) I also do quite a bit of jump roping as well. After that, 20-20 minutes of light cardio.
Off days, I do HIIT, but I never do the same intervals more than once. For instance on Tues, I'll do 50sec jog, 10sec sprint for 12 minutes. Thurs I'll sprint the turns on a track, jog the straight away for 15 mins. I just vary my time and my length so my body doesn't get adjusted.
So far, I've been cutting 9 full weeks, just at the start of 10. Went from 268lbs all the way down to 241lbs. I don't know what my bf % is, wish I could tell you.
tl;dr. I think it's good to have, not 100% necessary, if you do decide to do it, change it up.

2-3 times a week. 30 minutes each time. break every other day. Dont do it too much...slight jog/fast walk is all you need. Just lift and have a awesome diet plan for meal wise. Take supplements for maximize results but are not needed.

It all depends on how fast you want to lose the weight. Too fast isn't good. But an intense program would be 45-60 minutes a day- 6/7 days a week. At medium-hard intensity- Keeping the heart rate above 160.

If you feel too tired try walking. Walking is a cardio. I walk 50 minutes 5 to 6 days a week, and i feel so good. Cardio is good not only for fat loss but cardio is also a diuretic. u get rid of bloating and water retention with cardio. Besides if you are antisocial like me, you can walk at a time when there are not many people, or find a place where you can walk alone where nobody will bother you. You know how much we hate that social interaction thing
