With your work ethic, drive, and determination to make a statement on the stage there was no doubt this is how you would look bro. Fantastic physique, but i can tell from the pics ( which are far away) you have some lagging body parts that you can easily bring up in the offseason, as well as a bigger quad sweep. But sorry to be picking but you are the real deal. To know what you had to go through, and how hard you had to study outside of dealing with contest prep shows just how much you are made of. Its an inspiration to show how you balanced life on top of contest prep to come out and give it your all.

Yep thanks man! I am EXCITED to make even more improvements and bring up quad sweep, chest, etc. As long as I make progress I'm happy!

Hey thanks!! It was not a big deal!- I just wanted to prove to myself that
1) I am still a bodybuilder
2) I can balance 20 credits, research, work, volunteering, tutoring all with contest prep
3) That I can make time for what I enjoy in life no matter what!

I think I will email Derek these pics and have him assess my physique and design a split to bring up the weak points..I've never done a plan by him and if I combine my work ethic with his training plans WATCH OUT

Haha! They were in great shape though it was awesome! I was the only Novice in my class but I get to go to the overall posedown vs. all the open class winners which will be fun! It's just nice knowing I made such a big improvement from my last competition!

That kind of sucks to be the only one in your class for novice. I think you would of ended up going head to head with the overall's even if you weren't the only one! GOOD luck in the next round!

Dude, you look phenomenal! These quality pictures really show just how BIG you are (compared to the earlier pics you posted). I would be shocked if your not a natural pro in the very near future.
Also, I can't wait to see wat you can do w/ some carbs! Hope you'll keep the journal going into the offseason so we can watch you GFH

Wow man thanks! I have a long way to go but I want that natural pro card, whatever federation it may be in. I have been saying this for 2-3 years: my dream would to be a doctor AND a natural pro...to be the ultimate role model of good health!
A HUGE reason for me doing this show was to practice what I preach. So many doctors/med students/pre meds do NOT live healthy life styles...and I wanted to change that a little. Regardless of whether I am doctor or physical therapist/research/pharmacist/ WHATEVER I will try to be a role model for health. The med school interviewers better appreciate these guns ! LOL

OK GUYS ITS GAME TIME!!!! Going to the finals!!! I am going against some GREAT competitors so it will be tough but I am just going to have fun and do my best. If anything- today has given me hope that MAYBE one day I could be a natural pro if I keep working like this!
Lets do this scivation style !

Hey guys! Had a BLAST at the finals! I definitely held my own in the overall posedown and they kept us out there a LONG time..we all looked great! Josh from this forum won the overall and his conditioning was freaky to say the least...it was awesome that such a nice guy took the overall. It was just a great night and fun 20 weeks overall...I would have liked better conditioning but honestly I brought good conditioning considering how busy I was..and I stepped on stage at 193 pounds I mean come on! I think that I was probably 3rd of out the 4 guys in the overall but me and the juniors winner were close...I would say he beat me though but I didn't get destroyed by him or anything.
My plan from here is to take 1-2 weeks off and focus on school, then design a new training plan to address my weak point- specifically my chest, traps, quad sweep, and biceps. I need more muscle maturity and chest mainly...but the progress I made is great! It was just the best day I've had in a very long time Thank you guys SO much for following my journey!
I will keep this thread open forever and update it everyday as I bulk and put on more size...its too fun to shut it down!
