No Good Pres. Choices
Is anyone else as discouraged as I am about the upcoming presidential election? I am 62 and have always voted. This year there is no one I can vote for with a clear conscience. So for the first time I won't vote. In my opinion, either choice is a nightmare. I am really scared for my country. In 8 years Bush (who I voted for twice) has single-handedly destroyed a great nation. We teeter on the brink of collapse. And there is no one who can step in and lead us out of this morass. Very discouraging. Very frightening.

You can join many of us in voting third party.
Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, Ralph Nader, or Ron Paul (as a write in).
Check out the link in my signature if interested.

Vote for Baldwin, he's pretty solid. He probably lines up fairly well with your views, or at least, far better than the two mainstream candidates will:

Vote 3rd party, we are damned either way in this election. Vote 3rd party and at least wash your hands of responsibility for McCain or Obama

I don't think he means no good choices, but no good choices out of those that have a shot at winning.
Wholeheartedly agree with him

If he finds a candidate he likes, why does it matter if they have a shot at winning?

You missed my point. It is a simple fact that mccain or obama will be president. I believe he's expressing his distaste for that, and I agree with him

I plan to, but that's irrelevant to what I said earlier

Whats wrong with voting for Obama? Is it because hes black???
I guarantee if he was white, you and alot of others wouldnt need to second guess your vote. The guy just makes sence, but racists just see the color of his skin.

LOL good job at you bringing race into it.
I'm not voting for him because he's a democrat with socialist ideas. Screw McCain too

MagnumXL, I can understand your dilemma but I still think you should vote for whom you think would be the best candidate.
Personally, I am supporting Obama and I really hope that he makes it

All of those people are complete idiots and don't understand the economics of the times we live in. I can understand voting 3rd party but how about voting for someone who's not some fringe nutcase. The OG was right. There is no perfect choice for president right now.

either you send a message to washington that you are sickened by the current administration, or you vote to condone it!
its quite simple...
