I like other nut butters better than peanut butter too. Problem is the cost - PB is the cheapest where I shop.

The mono to poly ratios of almond butter and peanut butter are pretty similar. It mainly comes down to taste.

Where I get it, the prices are almost identical. I think AB is sometimes ~2.50 per pound which is amazing.

regarding CHA diet plan for women
i have been following the CHA diet from the book, 12 weeks to your hottest body ever, for almost two months now. i've gotten great results so far! in fact, i've lost 16 lbs. and a total of 15.5 inches. i love the diet so far, but i was just wondering if anyone has any favorite recipes for cooking grilled chicken. i'm to the point where i can't even finish the 6 oz anymore! so far, i've used adobe seasoning, mrs dash lemon pepper seasoning, store bought marinades, and just garlic powder. i wanna try using something with lime. anyone have anything for me to try?
does anyone else have a problem with eating chicken so often or am i just being a baby? :P
also, eating 6 eggwhites + 3 whole dha eggs is harder than i thought it would be. is there anything i can substitute so that i still get my recommended protein, but without eating so many eggs??? HELP!
thanks

Whey works as a protein source too.

I mix and match protein sources all the time.
My morning breakfast protein and fat sources consist of egg whites, whole DHA eggs and a whey shake with peanut butter.
As long as you respect the portion sizes, mixing and matching is not only beneficial, I feel it's essential to mental sanity.

CHA for Vegetarian
Wattup guys
so I'm thinking of running the CHA for cutting down, I've got around 10-15 lbs to lose. The thing is I'm a vegetarian (I eat eggs though), so I read the CHA book and came up with the following diet. Could you guys let me know if it would work?
Based on my BMR, and my past experience, I need to go on the 1800 calories plan:
1800 Calorie Plan
6 meals, each meal will have:
0g carbs, 42g protein, 15g fats, 303 calories
Meal 1, 3, 5:
6 Egg Whites
3 Whole DHA eggs
42g protein, 15g fat
Meal 2,4,6:
2 scoops Scivation Whey
18 Almonds or 6tsp Peanut Butter or 3 oz Avocado or 3tsp Olive/Flax/Enova Oil
42g protein, 15g fat
Question1 : Does that diet look OK?
Furthermore, I want to make sure I get this right. I will be taking in some green veggies with 3 of my meals (broccoli or spinach), and 2 servings of blueberries (with my whey), as well as psyllium husk powder (I'm thinking aproximately 10g per day starting out, and based on how "regular" I am I can adjust)
Question2: Does the veggie/psyllium husk plan look ok?
Finally, I'm thinking of having 1 cheat meal a week. Now I read that this cheat meal should basically replace one of your meals. Does that mean that calories wise, I should eat just enough to cover one meal's worth of calories (approx 300 calories)? Or can I take it 600 calories worth, and skip 2 meals...I mean if I take in a "regular" meal I would probably be taking in like 500-700 calories, maybe even more, so I figure I should account for 2 meals then...
Thanks guys, can't wait to start!!!

You've followed the outline in the book...it looks good.
If you want, you can make Marc's CHA pancakes with pb on top. That would be a good meal for you too!

Whatever you do, don't stress over it. Just let it happen. If you go 300 calories over on one day, then over the course of the week, it's not really such a big deal. I wouldn't freak over it. Just don't go overboard with teh cheat meal, and enjoy yourself

1: Your proposed meals look fine. They are correct according to the macro calculations.
2: Veggie outline is fine. The more veggies you can take in, the better it will be for you, though.
3: Don't overthink the cheat. It's just one meal, so eat what you'd like. Just don't go overboard to the point where you can't eat for 6 hours due to being stuffed. Eat a moderate sized meal and enjoy yourself.
edit: mostly what jaim91 said above. I didn't refresh the page.

CHA is good for the entire society. IMO, it is the healthiest and most effective body composition-improving diets every created.
It is actually BEST for endos!

I can second this through 2+ years of trying different diets and experimenting. CHA gave me the best steady fat loss and muscle retention (and some weeks even LBM gains). I consider myself and endo-meso.

Endo's tend to have the least insulin sensitivity of all, thus CHA is money!!

What sucks is that as I look at my family tree and my pre and early teen years, I think I was more of a pure meso, but ruined my genetic bodytype (insulin sensitivity, etc) by really lousy eating and a sedentary lifestyle.
I'm on the road to reclaim my meso roots, though. One rep at a time.

You CAN change bodytypes. I was a 295 pound endo before and am now a meso/ecto. This is just a great thing!

I agree (somewhat). I was a ~260lb endo at about 40% bf and am now sitting at just about 205 at roughly 12-13% (and going down).
But I also find that the tendencies to crave sugars and sweets don't ever go away, and when I do ingest them, they seem to store as fat very quickly (starved fat cells going on a glycogen binge).
I just have to remain in control and be vigilant, that's all. For the rest of my life if needed.

Mark looked like he did really good on this diet. Retained alot of muscle.
I am currently on dave palumbo's cutting diet. I am interested in the C.H.A diet but I not sure how it's different to palumbo's.
They both are High Protein and Fat and low Carb.
They both have days where veggies are increased and fat is lowered.
One cheat carb meal a week.

You should download the latest version of CHA at www.scivationbooks.com. There are no longer any low fat or increased veggie days. Every day is the same fat intake and every day you are encouraged to have veggies with as many meals as possible.
