Great Breakfast Meal

I took a recipie I saw somebody else posted and modified it. I love this and eat it almost every day for breakfast.

Ingedients:

Cooked Chicken Breast (4 oz.)
1/2 box frozen spinach
3/4 cup brown rice (cooked)
4 Omega-3 eggs
1 spoonful of chopped garlic
Seasalt
Cracked red pepper



Directions:

1. Cook chicken and break into small pieces
2. Saute chicken, spinach, cooked rice, garlic, cracked red pepper, and seasalt together.
3. Once warmed up add eggs into mixture.
4. Mix well so that all ingrdients are mixed together.

Portion is total yield.

Nutritional value: 527.5 cals, 51.75 pro, 31.25 carbs, 21.63 fat

New York steaks with Boursin and Merlot Sauce

Servings: Makes 6 servings
Medium ? 160?

Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
6 9- to 10-ounce New York steaks, trimmed (about 1 inch thick)
1/2 of 5.2-ounce package Boursin or other French garlic-and-herb cheese, cut into 6 wedges
1 1/2 cups Merlot or other fruity red wine
1/4 cup ( 1/2 stick) chilled butter, cut into small pieces
2 teaspoons chopped fresh Italian parsley
2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives plus whole chives for garnish

Preparation
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in each of 2 heavy large skillets over medium-high heat. Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Add 3 steaks to each skillet; cook about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer to platter; top each with 1 cheese wedge. Tent with foil to keep warm.

Pour off drippings from 1 skillet; add wine to skillet and boil over high heat until reduced to generous 1/2 cup, scraping up browned bits, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add butter and stir until melted. Mix in parsley and chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over steaks. Garnish with whole chives.

wassup, here's my marinade recipes for my chicken breast.

first you mix in a bowl :

5 table spoon of balsamic vinagar.
3 table spoon of hot mustard.
mix the two ingredient until its homogene.
then you had about 175 ml of olive oil, and while putting it in the bowl you mix all the stuff with a spoon.


then you put your chicken breast in a big bowl or whatever you use to marinate your food usually.

you put enough of the mixture on the chicken breast until its all over the chicken. dont be scared to use your'e hands to help the mixing.

then in the bowl you add salt,pepper,thym,a little onion, basilic.

you mix it all up. you put it in the fridge for the night... and there you go.

its freakin delicious.

i usually cook it on the grill. really nice


and usually there's vinaigrette left in the bowl you use in the first place,and you can use it in salad . its a pretty easy vinaigrette.

simple, delicious

6oz of 2%cottage cheese
2TBSP/30g of natural peanut butter
1 packet of splenda
1 Blender

insert all ingredients into the blender (except for the blender of course) and blend until smooth (how could you blend a blender anyways?). Consume (but don't eat the blender)

Probably not original, but here goes

Breakfast
1 cup of eating right oatmeal
1/2 cup milk (1%)
1 scoop casein vanilla protein powder (or whey)

Cook the oatmeal in 2 cups water, mix the powder and milk in at the end and enjoy. This is a 500 calorie start to the day.

Tuna- mix 1 can of tuna with 2 tbsp of salsa and 1 small carrot. Mix in a food processor until a kind of paste forms. I like it as is or you could put it in a sandwich.

Some totally different guy in another thread posted this same exact recipe the other day, word for word, he is a chef. Anyhow, I used this marinade the other day, I did not have thyme or use a little onion but I did add some minced garlic to it. Cleaned and chopped up my chicken breasts and marinated them for about 2 days in a bowl. Cooked em up as a stir fry with a bunch of veggies and it was pretty much one of the best things I've ever made, so good.

For Tuna Steak
1) pour 1/2 cup white wine into skillet
2)add garlic amount depends on how much you like garlic
3)add tuna and cook until it is seared on outside
4) flip and sear other side
5) add pepper
6)Sprinkle tuna with greater parmessan cheese
7) Enjoy and then go catch some more fresh tuna

Not sure if this has been posted, my mom gave me this recipe about 2 years ago

****ing Awesome Rice

Ingredients:
Rice (White or Brown)
1 Whole Onion (i use cooking onions)
1 Red Pepper
Chicken Broth
Parsley (Dried or Fresh)

How to Make
Step 1: First i take 1 Onion, rip the **** covering off the outside, then i dice it up into small peices (can make as large or small as you want)

Step 2: Take the Red Pepper and Cut 3 or 4 of the sides off, the middle of the pepper is not used at all. Then again cut it up and dice it into whatever sized peices you want.

Step 3: Put a little olive oil in the pot or pan you are gonna cook this in, put in the onions and peppers and cook at a medium heat until the onions start to brown a bit.

Step 4: Once the onions are starting to brown measure 1.5 Cups of Rice (can do more or less depending on how much you want) and put it in the pot with the onions and pepper.

Step 5: Once the rice is in add around 2 -2.25 Cups of Chicken Broth to the amazing concoction. ( do 1.5 cups chicken broth per 1 cup rice)

Step 6: Turn up the heat to full until it starts boiling then set it to simmer (should be done within 20 minutes)(You know it's done when there is no more broth)

Step 7: While the rice is cooking i chop up some fresh parsley into small peices, its a pain in the ****ing ass but it adds a lot of flavour and makes it taste much better. So chop up how ever much you want, or use dried parsley flakes when the rice is done cooking add the parsley, stir it all around let it sit for a few minutes and enjoy.

Pumpkin Pie "pancakes"

1/2 cup oats
6 egg whites
2 TBs canned pumpkin
1 cap vanilla extract
several dashes of pumpkin pie spice
2 packages splenda
2 Tbls vanilla protein

mix everything well..pour into pan sprayed w/ pam, cook like a pancake... (you can make smaller ones if you don't want one big one)

entire recipe
335 cals
3 fat
40 prot.
35 carb
6 fiber

-----------------------------------

mini pumpkin pies
4 egg whites
1 1/2 cup pumpkin
1 TBLs vanilla protein
1/2 cup skim milk
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (more or less to taste)
sweetner to taste (2-3 pinches of stevia or several packs of splenda)

(topping, if desired)
5 egg whites
1 cap vanilla xtract
sweetner to tast

beat egg whites and milk. Add pumpkin, protein and spices. Blend well

Pour into small tart tins (or pie plate). Bake at 375 for 50-60 min (for tart tins)
(for pie pan 450 for 10 min then lower heat to 350 and bake 30 more min) till fork is clean when poked

If you want the topping, beat the egg whites till stiff (with hand mixer). When stiff, blend in vanilla and sweetner. Spoon this over pie and bake until brown.

Pumpkin Protein Pudding

EASY and YUMMY SNACK!

1/2 cup pumpkin (libby's pure canned pumpkin)
1-2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (Beverly Ultimate Muscle Protein works best)

Mix together with just enough water (only about 1/8 cup) to make a pudding consistency.

Off season- mix in 1 TBSP fat free cool whip!!

Beleive it or not it actually tastes quite nice:

250mls cold water

Put it all in a shaker, give it a quick whack, and drink it straight away

15 chocolate chips

Simply use the 1 hand to then put 1-15 chocolate chips into mouth.

From my experience with this recipe it is hard to ruin, especially if you are a woman (love).

Southwest Roasted Sweet Potato Hash

Sweet Potato Hash~Chef George (yes I am a real chef, feel free to ask any food questions I love helping people!)

INGREDIENTS:
5# sweet potato
1TBS canola/soybean oil
1TBS garlic powder
1TBS onion powder
2TBS chili powder
1TBS cumin
S&P to taste

optional:
diced onion
diced bell peppers
corn
chopped bacon (cooked)
garlic

Procedure:
1. Peel and medium dice the sweet potatoes and put into a mixing bowl.
2. Add oil and spices to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
3. Put potatoes on a baking sheet in an even layer.
4. Bake in 400 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes. (toothpick with go in easily but potatoes are not mush)

You can eat them like this or you can do the following:
5. Cook onion, peppers, garlic until soft in a saute pan.
6 Add the corn, bacon and preroasted sweet potatoes and cook until heated through.
7. Enjoy as a side dish with chicken, pork, beef, etc.

Broccoli Chicken




Pretty common but today was the first time I made it. No recipe.. i was going for a slightly asian type and it turned out delicious.

-Olive oil in a pan over medium/low heat
-Chopped broccoli added with some water
-After about 2 mins of sweating the broccoli add chopped celery and onion ( medium sized pieces)
-5 mins cooking, add finely chopped garlic (as much as you like) and a handful of fresh spinach
-Simmer down with a little more water, hit of soya sauce and some rice wine vinegar and lemon juice
-Toss in some cornstarch to thicken juices (mix cornstarch in a little water first to dissolve, then add to mixture. Prevents clumping)
-Throw in some sliced chicken breast. I had mine precooked in the fridge which is why this is such a late step. Add first and cook for about 10 mins if raw.
-Pepper to taste

Serve on or with brown rice for some extra carbs

Smile my favorite recipes (high in protein)

- Protein Pancakes/Waffles (1 serving= 3 large pancakes or 8 waffles)

1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup egg whites
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs sugar free fat free vanilla pudding mix
1/4 cup sugar free syrup

Blend all together in blender to make a batter. Cook in a preheated sprayed pan on med heat until golden brown on both sides. Or in a waffle maker for 2-4 mins. (Can be frozen and reheated or toasted.) top with sugar free syrup.

- Protein French Toast (1 serving)

2 eggs
2 slices whole wheat bread
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Stir ingredients in bowl. Dip bread on both sides. Cook in a preheated sprayed pan on med heat until golden brown on both sides.

- Protein Icecream (1 serving)

1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
1tbs. A.N.P.B.
2 splendas

Freeze for 30 min - 1 hr

- Turkey Taco Salad (about 4-5 servings)

1 pkg. lean ground turkey
taco seasoning
shredded lettuce
low fat shredded cheese
fresh diced tomatoes
sliced black olives
fat free sour cream
chunky salsa
whole grain tortilla chips

cook meat with seasoning. prep ingredients. place in a big bowl and top however you'd like.

-Tuna Patties (1 serving= 4 small patties)

1 can tuna
1 egg
7 salt free saltines
ketchup

mix together tuna and egg then crumble saltines and mix all together. Cook in a preheated sprayed pan on med heat until golden brown on both sides.

Sticky Chilli & Garlic Prawns / Shrimp

For a flavor sensation, - Serves 1

Ingredients:
100-150 Prawns / Shrimp meat
1 Chilli (long style)
1TBSP Sweet Chilli Sauce
1 Clove Garlic
1 TBSP Oil of choice (Peanut Oil Reccommended)
Vegetables of Choice and/or Rice

Method:
If having rice, prepare it first.
1. Remove shells from prawns and place in bowl

2. Finely chop up chilli and garlic, then add to the bowl, along with sweet chilli sauce, then mix.

3. Chop up any vegies

4. Heat up wok to maximum, then add oil

5. Throw in Prawns and Veg and stirfry 1-2 minutes or until cooked to taste. Faster tastes better!

Serve with rice or other side dish - Enjoy

Halloween Protein Candy Apples

got this from another web site...

1 apple (i used a giant fuji)
1 scoop isoflex vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp almond butter
1 pkt stevia
1 tsp butterscotch sugarfree/fatfree jello pudding mix
egg whites
2 tbsp crushed pecans

--> mix together the stevia, jello, and protein powder.
--> stir in the almond butter, then add enough eggwhites to make into a thick and smooth batter.
--> place the apple on parchment paper and stick a wooden stick in the top
--> pour protien mixture all over the apple.
--> then press pecans into the mixture
--> freeze till solid

Another one I found...

Rice Cake Protein Brittle


1 scoop isoflex vanilla protein powder
1 pkt splenda
1 tbl almond butter
Dash of sf caramel syrup (i have the starbucks one)
Egg whites (approx 1 tbl)

1 rice cake (i used butter caramel, but any sweet flavour or plain would work)

-> mix all of the top ingredients together with enough egg whites to get a nice smooth and slightly runny consistency.
-> break the rice cake into tiny pieces and lay on a piece of parchment paper
-> drizzle the protein mixture over the rice cake pieces and mix to coat pieces
-> place in the freezer for one hour until hardened and then break into tiny pieces and eat

(i also made another one where i didn't break the rice cake, and i just poured the pp over top, so it was like a caramel covered rice cake)

Another Chili Recipe. There's probably tons on here already, but there's no such thing as too much chili, so here we go:

This is your basic chili. Feel free to add whatever else you want, but this is basically the bare minimum for those who aren't inclined to cook.

Ingredients:

- Extra Lean minced/ground turkey
- Onions
- Tomatoe Juice
- Diced tomatoes
- Kidney beans
- Chili seasoning
- Hot sauce/crushed chili flakes, peppers etc. (all optional)

How to cook:

- Brown the turkey in a pan with onions. I'm not sure of measurements, I personally make a large batch for myself to eat over the course of a couple days. This usually equates to two packs of the turkey meat, and 1 full onion. I like to add pepper in this stage of the process. I usually cook it until there is no liquid left in the pan.

- Throw the onions and turkey into a large soup pot

- Add tomato juice. I suggest adding a little bit at this stage, and then adding more later on depending on how thick or thin you like your chili.

- Add the diced tomatoes. I found a couple of cans of diced tomatoes that are already seasoned specifically for chili. I used two cans of these.

- Add your kidney beans. I buy the fully cooked beans in a can. Open the can, dump them into a strainer in the sink, and rinse them off. I use a full can of beans. Great fibre and protein.

- Add in your chili seasoning to taste. You can also throw in the hot sauce, red pepper flakes, jalapenos, whatever you want.

- Let it simmer for 20 minutes to get really nice.

Essentially, chili is all about throwing meat, beans, tomato and tomato sauce into a pot, cooking it all together and adding spices. It's super easy to make, it's exceptionally healthy, and most importantly it tastes awesome.

It's great to make in bulk, and in most cases actually tastes better a few days after making it. If you have never made it before, start off with a smaller batch and get your proportions correct. Once you do, you can make tons of it.

The hardest part (which isn't hard at all), is making it the proper consistency. Just add the tomato juice a little at a time and you'll be fine.

Macros:

I'm not really counting...I'm 150 pounds and on a bulk, so I basically need all I can get. It's really good for you though. Extra lean turkey, beans, tomato juice...You'll be fine.
