He is from my town, lifted at a different gym though. Does anybody know him?

I work out at Joes gym and he will be missed by many. I feel truly honored to of met and talked with Joe he seemed like a very genuine person. He was ranked 1st in nationals and had plans on attending the next show in atlanta for his pro card.

I'm actually from Wenatchee, WA. Graduated from Wenatchee high and made several trips to Kennewick, Pasco, etc. for sports while in highschool.

Thank you for your kind words. Joe touched so many lives and was such a wonderful person and friend to so many.
It is a great comfort to hear from so many how he has been a blessing and help to so many people. I read another thread on a different forum and there were many posts from competitors that he met and on how he touched them as well.

There is not one documented death due to steroid use. Not ONE!

He died of a heart attack due to a genetic problem, there was no drugs involved!

This is jacked up and really sad.
It's also sad that when something like this happens everyday somewhere, whenever it's a fitness related person drug use is always an accusation regardless of that person's character.

For those who knew Joe or are from the area here is the infor for services.
Funeral services will be this Saturday, September 27 at 10 am at the Living Room Church (711 W Vineyard Dr. in Kennewick, Wash. 509-582-4818).
Also we have setup The Joe Pearson Memorial Fund has been established to help cover the cost of funeral expenses.
In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely requests contributions be made to the Joe Pearson Memorial Fund, c/o Washington Trust Bank, 3250 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, WA 99336 (Toll Free 800.788.4578).
The information about the memorial fund is for the many people that ahve asked, pelase do not feel compeled to give.
