Energy drinks while on Keto?
I read that it is OK to have a cup of coffee or tea while on Keto (obviously no sugar), so is it OK to have a no sugar energy drink, for example, diet Rockstar?

I've heard of some people being thrown out of keto from aftificial sweeteners, but i am far from a keto expert.

Hmm...Interesting. So artificial sweeteners can get you out of keto even though there's no carbs?

Some people have found that artificial sweeteners knock them out of ketosis or stall their progress. I personally havent had any problem getting into or remaining in ketosis while drinking diet sodas though. I think there was a thread a little while ago about energy drinks and a few people said they drink them with no problem.
If some of them do have carbs, though, as lfm01 pointed out, you should watch your intake of them.

what would maltodextrin do to stall ketosis? I know it is in some 0 carb/sugar free energy drinks to help sweeten them, but aren't they very similar to carbs? Or should I not worry about it, I mean it'd only be around 100-120mg's maltodextrin anyways..

Personal experience is that I drank a diet lo-carb Monster (total of 6g carbs for the whole can..) and was booted out of ketosis. I don't know if it was the artificial sweeteners or that I drank it all at once was the problem. But... I've switched over to coffee for my pick-me-ups now.
