Good morning Joan!

It sounds like the two of you had a wonderful time at the casino ... and were up 10 bucks to boot!!! lol I am not a gambler either and the first time and only time that I stepped into one, I was totally overwhelmed by all of the lights and machines and zombie people!!! lol

It must have been nice too to sleep in a bit yesterday and then see the kids off to school in the morning. I am sure that they liked it too even though they are teenagers and might not admit to it! lol

Have a wonderful day - it is supposed to be warm and sunny - the last hurrah of the summer weather!!

Exciting Game Last Night!
WE WON!


It was a Beautiful Night....Warm, changing to Cool Weather.
Huge crowd of people ( I didn't realize there were so many people in my little city lol)
A beautiful night for Homecoming Game.

The boys played a tuff team and it was a Heart-Stopper of a Game! Phew!
We Won 12-10!!

We all gathered at the HighSchool Gym, where we served the Team, Cheerleaders and their Parents Pizza and Cake!

The Boys are really happy and proud of themselves...which they should!


I was sooo hungry by the time I got home and after smelling the wonderful cheesy pizza.


I rested up and I have started my day with a Great Strong Back/Bicep W/O.
This workout is the last of this program for back/biceps.

My Last W/O on the 'Simple Mass Building' Program!

I got a lot accomplished yesterday....after terrific Workout...I cleaned my house...at least the bottom half of the house
Then Randy, Emily and I helped my sis/bro-in-law with packing and moving.
They have a LOT of stuff....and the job is Far from over.
Good luck to them!

This morning I woke before my alarm.
I was eager to finish up my 'Simple Mass Building' Program.
It was Great 6 weeks...I noticed I gain strength, and along with a good diet, my muscles are appearing more dense! Yay!

I have thought about my plan for my next W/O Program.
I have decided to do 'Drop Sets'.
I will start off with my heaviest weight, then drop the lbs for the next following sets.
EX: Dumbell Press - 50lbs, 45, 40, 30.

I have done this program before and I love it....I have had real good results form this.
I love the feeling of using Heavy Lbs, then decreasing, but pushing to Failure!
I love the feeling of pushing as hard as I can until my muscles burn ..

I also have decided to put my Cardio session at the end of my w/o.
This is something I haven't done in years.
I started doing this today...and I like it


I will be visiting with my Parents today...Going to be another beautiful sunny day!

Sounds like the whole family had a very productive day with you cleaning and everyone helping out with the big move too. I don't know how you managed to push out such a wonderful workout after all of that activity yesterday ... but I know if you are anything like me ... and you are ... you always have extra in the tank for a workout!! lol

I like your new workout plan too. I have not done dropsets in a long long long time. It is always a great burn and sense of accomplishment when you are finished doing them. I think it is great too that you switched up the cardio to the end of your workout - more energy at the start for the big lifts

Have a great time visiting with your parents ... it is so nice that you are able to spend so much time with them Now that I live further away from mine we are lucky to see one another once a month ... but we do talk all of the time

Drop Sets and Cardio after weights will be a great change for Me Muskels

It's great to know you talk to your parents regularly....I go to my parents every Sunday, being they are 'getting up there' I want to enjoy their company as much as I can.
Oh Yeah, and now that Mom & Dad has a cell phone....Mom and I Text each other everyday with little 'Love Notes'. hehe

I believe ANY form of intensity in cardio is GREAT!
Weather it be a higher incline on treadmill, faster pace/intervals....and Added Weights is a Great way to make cardio more intense and effective.

I like doing my cardio after weights! Are you going to stick with the 30 min between the TM and elliptical? Are you a believer in getting protein in your body right after weights before the cardio?

Day 1/Week 1 of new program of "Drop Sets".

After one Long, Beautiful and Fun Weekend.....It's time to go back to the dirt-n-grime of the work-force...*sigh* lol
I thank God for such a Wonderful time I spent with Randy and our children!

Thanks for the compliment!

For now I will be sticking with 25-30 of cardio.
I believe it's a good thing to consume protien before training....I don't have protien before cardio.
After, Yes.

Week 1 'Drop Sets'. Shoulders/Traps/Abs

I was little hungry all day yesterday...Just one of them days in which I couldn't feel satisfied.
And I couldn't stay awake past 8:00pm

New episodes of the season have started .....And I felt like a looser, when I tried to spend TV time with Randy and Emily, and just couldn't keep my eyes opened.

When my alarm went off, I was fairly eager to start my training.
It was a good one...yay!

Should I bring it to her attention that she made me feel bad by insinuating I was Stupid/Dumb?
Or just leave it alone, and forget about it?

Great looking workout this morning! And I am glad that the twinge did not turn into anything more than that. Always good to listen to one's body and go with the flow Now that you are doing cardio after weights, are you eating first thing or after your whole workout? I know that I can only go to the gym with coffee first [my bad ] and then eat after.

As for your sister, that is too bad that she made some negative comments to you. Maybe sit on it for the day and think about it ... if it is still bothering you then I would give her a call tonight and explain to her that your feelings were hurt and why. Better to deal with it than to let it fester and bother you

Rest Day!

It's been a while since I've had a rest day....I didn't mean to go so long before resting my body/muscles.
I think it was the transition from one program to the other.

Now that I am doing cardio after weights, I am eating before my weight training and then after my cardio.
So it will go like this:

Drop Sets....Back and Biceps!

Even though I fell right to sleep...I had 'things/person' on my mind.
The thoughts were with me when I woke-up, as well.

By the way, my power supply cord on my lap top took a dump on me.
The battery in the lap top is kaput also.
I'm using Emily's computer, while she is sleeping ....thanks Em!

About my sister....you could be correct in the fact that She is feeling 'something' and found an outlet in me to 'let it out'......ya know how "Company Loves Misery"...sad but true.
