Question for anyone using the Toco 8.
Is the new version twice as potent as the old version so that one serving a day equals the amount used in the study?
Thanks

Check out www.hairlosshelp.com
the forum on that site is amazing and can take years to comb through without mastering all the material, I know from experience.
-Finasteride (famous as propecia) works the best, generally (watch for sides, gyno, sex drive). well, dut is best, but that inhibits both types, most notably the found mainly in the brain....yea, it's a damn strong drug. saw palmetto is the natural herb some claim has a lesser effect but similar to fin. oh yea, expect some weight gain. ever heard a dog owner opt not to castrate his/her dog, because it gets a bit lazy/slower, gains some weight? well, dht reduction is somewhat similar to a partial chemical castration, obvi you still have test...
-Minoxidil (famous as rogaine) also works very well, generally (this may also act like a NO product for you)
-topical spirolactane
-a million different products, lasers were recently blessed by the FDA as an official treatment.
-nizoral is the best shampoo, reduces inflammation cause. Nioxin and most any other shampoo, as a treatment, is bunk. keep in mind many say they are doing all sorts of things with results, Causation is a slippery fellow, and sometimes outright lies can confuse...i.e. see someone's great progress from a transplant, they lie and say they put cow dung on their head. or, "yea, i think nioxin works, but i was taking propecia too..." hmm. give it time, look at the ingredients, nothing in nioxin can halt MPB, give it time, you shall see.
-i've tried a lot, but decided to quit that battle awhile ago, but if you care, go read the forum, there's a lot to learn.

Panzer is right fyi. By decreasing DHT with fin, you have more free test, because less is being converted to DHT, so, your test actually goes up. But DHT also regulates your estrogen, and your estrogen goes up. watch for bitch tits.

i saw a lot of people talking about revita.
here is a thread discussing it on hairlosshelp.com http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/m...AR_MSGDBTABLE=
actually surprised a couple vets there are trying it...i don't see anything special in that ingredient list. reduces inflammation, same as nizoral with ket. fine, but nothing mindblowing dht reduction-wise. and think about it, a product claiming to reduce dht in topically in skin cells with shampoo as the vehicle!!! on your scalp for a few minutes, trust me, this is not going to do much for you. in the realm of topical 5ar reducers, stick with spiro.

in early 2007 i started working a lot more., noticed that my hair seemed thinner (mid 2007)., it didnt progress where it was obvious that i was goiing bald., but then again., it might have also been of the long 11-oxo extreme cycle i ran without pct
nov/dec 2007 i changed my diet + excersize,. was at 285 lbs., dropped down to 250 june 2008., i also left my job.,
1.5 weeks into june i noticed that the thinning had made a massive jump.,
i wash my hair every single day,. when i was job searching i wasnt doing so everyday since i didnt really wake up at a certain time or id sleep for hours ... it was then that i started noticing the jumps in thickness...
anyway., july i started niz 1%, starting od-ing on saw palmetto, starting taking emerald balance to try to fix my diet...
so now im stuck in limbo., i dont know if it has been helpfull as i cannot measure hairloss myself., my mornic doc decided to just say "mbp" without skipping a beat., (thyroid is normal.. i had a complete yearly physical + bloodwork end of june)., ill be visiting a dermatologist this weekend.,
i dont really care if it is mbp., id just save it.,.. but if its stress related + diet + nutrition then id rather do what i can to "not" loose it

Hey Skipper, I am pretty sure a dermatologist or a hair surgeon can identify whether stress or MPB is at play. A friend of mine went to a hair surgeon and told me himself that they can view the roots of your hair to determine if MPB is slowly thinning your hair or if your having some other type of issue causing your hair loss, such as the ones you mentioned.
To answer your second question; from my experience and listening to others, the affects of Finasteride and Dutasteride vary. Finasteride and Dutasteride actually do not decrease your testosterone; it decreases DHT which is the primary cause of MPB (Male Pattern Baldness). The only ways to cope with it is to watch your breast tissue and keep a healthy diet/work out regimen to keep off bloat. The issue is that in turn Finasteride and Dutasteride will slightly increase your testosterone and reduce your DHT. DHT is what gives you that "hard" look and keeps you from being bloated. Hence why DHT derived AAS make you lose hair: Winny, Masteron. As well as other AAS that are not derived from DHT but are androgenic such as Tren.
I heard that the comb is pretty much poo poo. I would stick with other solutions.

Thank you for answering my q's

DS Labs Revita Shampoo FTW!!! ~3 months and loving it everyday... beyond possible hair loss benefits, the improved condition of my hair is noticeable... seems healthier. Anti-DHT compounds and such...
Drink lots of green tea and take EGCG rich GTE.
Anti-inflammatory foods and phytochemicals... fish oil rich in DHA/EPA leading the way.
These are among my first thoughts on this subject... super glad I discovered the Revita shampoo and trying to share my experience with others.

I just never got the whole nioxin thing... reading the ingredients I was very unimpressed unless they have improved their product recently.
Nizoral does seem like an effective product.

I'm telling you guys put aloe vera on your hair as much as you can. I've been getting a lot of comments on how thick and shiny my hair is. I've been applying aloe vera 2-3 times a day for 6 months now and my hair super thick!

Do you apply it and leave it on? If so, for how long? Do you wash it out or does it dry in?

i used generic propecia for a 1yr it didn't really do anything for me but maintain the hair , after coming off it and just using nizoral shampoo, biotin shampoo, biotin pills 5mg, zinc, and high protein intake i noticed my hair in the crown has thicken more than before ever since i started lifting more again and eating clean with a set diet for the week, i also cutt back on the reef, which i think made a significant difference in my hair too......
