Red wine
I'm curious about the affect red wine has on muscle recovery. My rest days are Saturday and Sundays. I don't drink wine on Saturdays I feel that my body needs that day to eat and sleep without anything other than the basics. But, on Sunday I usually 'que and drink a bottle or two with family and friends. Please advise! I can cut it out of my diet but damn it helps get through the week!

it wont help lifting, could help hearth health. a glass or two would be fine, you dont need to binge though

I'm not competing, just getting fit! I will post some pics soon. When we have friends and family over it ends up being 2 to 3 glasses w/food (meat).

I would imagine the benefits of a couple glasses a week outweigh any possible detriment to muscle recovery anyway.

I prefer Pinot Grigio, but yeah, I think people overstate the detrimental effects of alcohol on muscle growth.

Yeah I find that it sets me up for a good week of work and lifting. Man, by the time Sunday comes around Im tense and tired and ...you know you start stressing on Monday. It really seems to take the edge off.
Although I was taking NO2 and one glass and thats it...geez.
Im a Cab guy and Zin!
