Hey I just reread your thing about the instruments above...
I know that when I was done with my instruments (my saxaphone and oboe) and my sister was done with her flute that we were like practically desperate to sell them for whatever we could get. That site sounds like a really neat resource; I wish more people knew about it.
I would definitely spread word about that site to high schools in your area, as well as colleges. I am sure a lot of graduating folks have old "marching instruments" they don't want anymore, and would be glad to donate them/sell them for a low price.

I love caves, too. THe ones around me are not very batty, but I saw the Lebensraum when I was in Austria (yes, a cave called Living Room) and there were tons of bats that came out of it at sunset. Like a flock of birds or something.
Vert, have you ever caved at Granite City? A friend in my stat class tells me that this place is very cool, and it is just up lake jocasee [/hack]
T, way to go on 5 am cardio! Wow. That's killer. Love getting it over with, though!

FRIDAY:REST
I didn't do any exercise today...slept in until about 5:30..lol...full day of school..things are getting better every day and the kids are starting to respond a little better to me..even the "attitude" girl is starting to be a little less snotty
FOOD: whey, yogurt, chicken, green beans, almonds, apple, more almonds (I get SOO hungry midmorning!), chicken, salad, tuna, salad, whey/flaxseed muffin
SATURDAY
I weighed in this morning...142#, which is a 2.4# loss since last week! My bodyfat according to my scale (which is pretty consistent) was down 2% since the last time I checked FINALLY! is all I can say..hopefully things will continue to move in the right direction..I'm staying more active b/c of work and I think that increasing carbs just a bit actually agrees with me!
Our football team sucks hardcore..lol...they got beat 40-20 last night by a team that lost their first game 70-3..lol.it's going to be a LONG season..but that means: NO PLAYOFFS! lol
Didn't get home until 1 in the morning, so I crashed right away and slept in until 8:30...ahhhh..so nice!
Having a yummy shake: oats, strawberries, banana, yogurt, whey..all icy with some coffee grounds...yum! Heading off to the gym for a fully body workout, then going shopping w/ my friend for a baby shower gift..we might go to a movie or something later..just catching up with The Soup (hilarious!) and Days of Our Lives from yesterday.
FOOD PLAN:
1: whey, oats, yogurt,banana, strawberries
2: chicken, salad, olive oil, apple
3: chicken, salad, brown rice wrap, olive oil
4: egg whites, almond butter

when you say you make a shake with coffee grounds... is that literally like the coffee grounds that you put in the filter or are you using something else? i have just never thought about eating those in that form before... I guess you wouldnt eat it if it tasted bad, but i have to ask... are they really tasty?
let me see if i can find any instruments around here... i'll let you know.

How come you haven't been having post workout meals Tara? Surely that's conterproductive? Or are you trying to avoid the whey? If I could only eat 2 meals a day, it would be pre and post workout!

I caught that BB thing on MSNBC, luckily. I thought it was pretty good. It showed a good balance of a natural chick & an, obviously, not natural route. A lot of things that one research guy said were fairly right on. Like counting macros starting as a way to keep track of things & becoming obsessive, etc... Or how many of the women are self-conscious but get out on stage in bikini's. He also had a positive point abt BBing being a healthy outlet for many women instead of obsessing abt unhealthy things. Very interesting.

I agree Sasha..I thought it was a very balanced outlook on the sport
Lou: when I started cutting cals and carbs, I cut out the post workout shake..I think I'm going to start splitting up my preworkout meal and having half pre and half post and not waiting as long to workout..I've been working out sometimes 2 hrs after my preworkout meal!!
Just killing some time waiting for my friend to come so we can go to the shower...went to church this morning and then had a great workout! It was a killer full body..nonstop!!
FULL BODY "FRENZY" 2...Emma loves alliteration!
No focus on weight today, just constant moving and craziness...I was a lump of shaky sweat by the end...couldn't even talk to people during the workout..lol..they thought I was insane..it included:
BODYWEIGHT SQUATS...A GAJILLION
CHINUPS
BODYBAR PULLUPS
MED. BALL CLEAN AND PRESS
PUSHUPS
LEG CIRCLES
LUNGE JUMPS
BURPEE "MADNESS"
PRE WORKOUT: 10 min. biking

I saw that bodybuilding program a few weeks back. I thought it was very good and thoroughly enjoyed it. Some of it rang pretty true... especially the part about tracking the macros!
That workout looks fun! ... yes, crazy Enjoy the rest of the long weekend!

I thought that might be it.... I've cut my post workout down to the bare minimum too - just 30g whey and 20g skim milk powder. But I would chew my arm off without it!

The shower was just weird..it was more of a picnic at her MIL house...there were tons of kids there and her husband and all these guys and just like subs and pizza...with some gifts thrown in..I was WAY overdressed! lol..we got lost too so it took us 2.5 hrs to get there..I took a whey muffin with me and had tons of green beans while there..no subs or pizza or cake for me, even though the cake looked amazing...so thick and had this chocolate pudding in the middle...

1: whey, blueberries, yogurt, almond butter
2: muffin: oats, whey,whites,banana
3: tuna, brown rice wrap, salad w/ onions, flaxseed, apple
4: whey muffin w/ flaxseed, green beans
5: egg whites, almond butter, walnuts, cottage cheese, veggies

Just popping in to say good morning! I'm off to school...I was going to get up early and walk, but 5:30 was early enough this morning! I'll go later on! I've got a meeting w/ 5th grade parents tonight about instruments...fun!
Hope you all have a great day!!

i love when cardio feels good to do. It makes the workout 10 x more effective because you can really push yourself.
