60% of fat on my body
I'm still at it. I just found out that my body fat % is at 60...ugh! I'm starting weight watchers tomorrow. These are the suppliments that I just purchased. Please advise:
L-carnitine
CLA
Green Tea Pills
Multi Vitimans
Alli
Are these ok to take together? I want to lose 60 lbs by April 2009

Good luck on your journey. There are loads of helpful folks in here. Someone will be around soon who can answer your question better than I can.
If you hit it right, 60 pounds will drop easily before April of next year.

Those are fine to take together. Use as directed. I would not have gone with Alli but I only say that from my readings of the supps forum. If it works for you, then great.
Keep at it.

Alli is not a good product. Why do you think it started out at $125 and dropped 50% and more? It blows. It basically blocks out ALL fat, and makes your system go crazy. You need fat in your diet, even if you're 60% bf. Get rid of Alli, try something else.

dude at 61% bodyfat you will have NO PROBLEM dropping weight, but it depends on your diet and the amount of cardio. I dont know why you went to Weight Watchers .
What is your lifestyle like? What is your current diet like? Do you exercise often? At all?

All you need to do for a few months is cut out all junk and eat healthy... you'll drop weight fast just doing that!
Slowly add in some exercise, cardio, weight training - you'll be set for life!
Good luck!

What's your current weight Nuzac?
I can assure you, should you eat right, lift right and add a little walking into your weekly regime, the 60lbs will drop by April 09 with no problems whatsoever.
My advice is start a Losing Fat Log - everyone is on your side and you will want to see more results simply because you're keeping track of it. It's amazing to watch your own progress, trust me. Good luck with it my friend, you already know you can do it.

You could achieve that easily. I have lost 60 pounds in 10 months but I have done very little cardio. I am doing it by calorie deficit only and not even a very big deficit. Just remember, the less food you eat, the less cardio you have to do. Just do weight training and you will be fine.
Good luck, don't give up!
EDIT: if you are going to do cardio, just walk. Don't try jogging or you will just hurt your knees. And always take an IPOD or music walking, otherwise you will get bored.

I'm approaching 60 pounds gone in about 10 months, and I'm losing slowly (which is, IMO, the way to lose). Shoot for 1-2 pounds/week. You'll lose more than that at the beginning, but get that number into your head as "good".
I've gone from roughly 45% to 25% in that time. I want another 35 pounds gone, so I'm thinking next summer...

I don't even know what half of those supplements are. I do know about losing weight. If you are 60% bf except for maybe I multi-vitamin, fish oil and a protein powder I really don't think supplements are worth worrying about. You have a heap of fat to lose. Just eat good and exercise and it will melt off.

I'm going to lose the alli as some of you guys said. My body type is Endomorph and I'm I don't eat a lot, but I do eat too many sweets. I excercise once a week but I'm going to start working out 4 times a week. I'm thinking of getting a trainer. I know some people that lost on weight watchers thats why i decided to try it. (i'm a gal)

Weight watchers is basically just counting calories dumbed down and put into a group situation.
If it motivates you to do it that way and you struggle with self-motivation then great. Otherwise, learning to count calories would suffice and is probably a better general skill to have since you won't go to weight watchers forever. Do you count calories at the moment?

Not at the moment, I'd like to learn the deficient method. I dont know my current calorie intake so its hard for me to figure out how many to start at. Sometimes i eat once a day and sometimes six times a day.

i don't think you're 60% bf man... that means most of your weight comes from fat, and at 5'5" ~200, that seems high to say the least
i'll echo what everyone else said, maybe skip the weight watchers, start a log... and just change your lifestyle a little

A good way to drop weight fast is to out right cut soda and juices or anything w/ high fructose corn syrup. This including exercise and going on a calorie deficit is big.
Any thoughts about doing Keto?

You can't be 60%
Your BMI (which I never use) is only 33.1 whichis Grade 1 Obesity (out of 3)
You'd have to be over 300 lbs to be 60%

I used a website calculator that asked for my weight and height. It also asked me for my neck, waist and hip measurements. It said that my body fat is at 59%.

Lol website, you should probably go to a gym to get measured. Or buy a scale that measures bf%, they aren't that accurate, but it'll put you in the ballpark of your real bf%.

I did WW a few years ago. I lost 50lbs in two months and gained it back.
I did it at a center. I don't see the point about doing it online. The only advantage WW has is to get weighed every week in front of a live person. My problem is I wouldn't eat that whole day.
I am doing Atkins. I lost 12lbs since last week. While I understand almost all of that is water, it has gotten me motivated to work out everyday and I feel great.

You must have entered the incorrect details into the calculator. Anything over 30% body fat is morbidly obese.
If your are 60% bf the ABSOLUTE last thing you need is "supplements". Weight watchers wont cut it either. 60% bf is a very serious health issue, you need to see a doctor about safely reducing your weight before its too late.

I did enter the wrong height. Now it is saying that I have 52.67 of body fat and 104 lbs of my weight is fat. I can believe it because I'm fleshy and no muscle whatsoever.

I'll start by saying this: 60lbs by April '09 is definetly possible. Be careful with "diets." I cringed at the very mention of weight watchers, not that its bad, but that its like lockdown and the people I see on it are often making no progress. Not because it doesnt work, but because not enough emphesis is placed on the importance of proper exercise. Some people go on skydive diets or sugery to lose massive amounts of weight and they end up losing alot of muscle mass and end up being skinny-fat. So my advice is not only to train with weights, but implement cardio too. If you want I can work up a program thats at your experience level and whatnot. Just message me. All I need to know is: your training experience, how many days a week you can work out, and your diet specs (protein, fat, carbs).
