Brain Activity
I had a woman approach me today asking about brain activity and oxygen to the brain during aerobic exercise. She was wondering if there was a certain intensity and/or duration that needed to be achieved in order to get oxygen to the brain. I gave her a very general reply, but I didn't know if there were specifics (i.e. at ___ minutes the brain receives ___ amount of O2). Does anybody know of any specifics on this?

Question
Does anyone have any insight or websites that may be helpful? Certainly, saying 'wow strong 6th post' helped me considerably...but I need a bit more info than that.

your getting o2 to your brain every second of every day, all the time, just to let you know. your brain would die otherwise, and to my knowledge im not sure that your brain recieves any more oxygen during aerobic exercises, possibly less, but minimal because of the strain on your other muscles, your body will send more o2 to them because they need it for the increased workload

You lungs will only convert convert approx 30l/min into the blood during exercise. At rest 28L/min.
The blood will go into the oxygen and dissapate throughout the body the same whether you are running a marathon or on the couch eating potato chips.
You body doesn't direct the oxygen a certain way, its up the muscles to do a better job at using what oxygen is delivered.
Does that help.
