No Shotgun V3 & Whey Protein Pre-workout
Hi, I have currently been using White Flood and ON whey pre-workout. I am going to be switching to NO Shotgun V3. I noticed that the NO Shotgun has protein in it already. So my question is should I stop taking my whey pre workout because of the protein in NO Shotgun? Thanks in advance.

yes, Shotgun already has protein so there is no need for your pre-workout shake IMO

NO Shotgun does not have "protein" in it... It has Amino Acids, but not protein like whey or casein... The 12g or whatever of "protein" you see on the label comes from the amino acids... Nothing wrong with that, just sayin'...

Actually NO Shotgun V.3 has 20 grams of protein, check the label:
Casein Protein Hydrolysate
Whey Protein Hydrolysate
Ionic Whey Protein

Hi guys,
I also figured that since NO Shotgun apparently includes 20 grams of protein, I wouldn't need to include any in my shake...
However, am I really that bad at math, or is there something wrong with the quantities on the label?
First, they say the serving size is 23g, and 20g of protein. BUT they also say there's 9.6g (9,660mg) of protein + BCAA, 10g (10,055mg) of creatine and other muscle support stuff, then about 377mg of caffeine and friends.
So... they're saying there's 20g of protein, but that there's really 9.6g of protein? Ehm... maybe it's just me, but something doesn't feel right.
I _does_ seem like an awesome product even though there's not as much protein as claimed, but I just want to make sure what I should expect.
Thanks guys!
Mat

Looks like they are once again counting the Aminos as protein... So, it's only got 9.6 grams of "protein" (whey, whatever)... Just by looking at the calories you can tell it has less than 20g since 20g of protein is going to be over 100 calories...
So ya, it looks like 9.6g...

First of all, 20g of protein is not going to be over 100 calories. 1g protein = 4 Calories
20g of protein would be 80 Calories
Second, how would you have any idea there is 9.6g of protein in the product? The 9,660 mg blend includes added ffAAs.
Anyway, I'm sure this product has more than enough aminos to suit your goals. Don't worry about taking whey with it.
