It was pretty obvious to me. But I think he was angry and had his sarcasm goggles off.
EDIT: I agree with the OP though. I'm no grammar nazi, but whenever I see loose, it makes my brain cramp up a little bit.

on this site, it's hard to determine if people are being sarcastic or just plain dumb

As long as I know what the person means stuff like that just doesnt bother me. The ones that do are the people who just connect words and you literally have to read it twice to comprehend what they're saying. Kinda like word problems in math, you have to re-read it to make sure your answering the questions not just the one question.

Technically it wouldnt be a misspelled word it would be a grammatical error. Like using there, their, they're.

I almost put a list of misspelled words and how to acutally spell them in my signature...but the list got too long.
I have just accepted that people will always disappoint me and I try and follow the policy in my signature.

I used to be pretty heavy into cars...it used to drive me nuts when people would ask about 'break upgrades'.
Unfortunately my other hobby is mountain biking and people are always asking about 'breaks' there too.
BRAKES!
Thank you, that is all.
