Best cardio??
Honestly is there any type that is better than others? I do it 5x a week for 30min after weights then I hit the speed bag for about 10-15min. I am trying to cut. I usually do ellipital, walk treadmill also do it incline. Should I really be working on it because I dont even really drip in sweat. Im not that kind of person that sweats even when they work out and im working hard.

Those 8 feet tall Stair Masters are insane
20 minutes on that is the best cardio ever. But afterwards you feel like limping back home lol... insane workout.

I agree so much. You can burn 200 calories easily in 20 minutes on that stairmaster.
Otherwise jogging is my second best. I like to do 20 minutes stairs and 10 minutes jogging.

Depends on your goals really. I prefer HIIT as it saves time and I'm able to maintain a more muscular physique while cutting. I also like the vascularity and the additional energy from this type of training. You'll feel less fatigue in the gym because you will increase your body's ability to uptake oxygen far better than steady-state or even light intervals.
Personally, I treat cardio just as if I'm weight lifting. I want compound progression.
2 scenarios you can try if you want to use HIIT (or really, any form of cardio):
- Pick a # of hills/intervals to sprint/ride, find your time, then try to improve on that time each session. Eventually, you will need to add more minutes.
- Pick a specific amount of time (for example, 8 minutes), and see how many hills/intervals you can sprint/ride in that time period using the same rest periods.
Good luck on your goals!

hmmm so i guess just walking fast or goin on ellipitcal wont cut it? I know when it says how many calories burned is just a estimate. But in all honestly doing any type of cardio is key and im sure it will help. But hitting the speed bag does get my heart rate up and move around.

I do a lot of running, running upstairs and Burpees. Can get a pretty good workout off those and I'm starting to see really nice results. I'm not losing but actually gaining muscle and still losing fat.

I personally like running, but that is because I want to get into competitive racing. It's all about what your goals are. For those wanting to compete in a triathlon, it would make sense to split your cardio up between running, biking, and swimming. I personally can't stand stationary bikes, so I don't do them.

i heard putting rocks or weights in a bag and running with it on your back is bad for your back. Weighted vests are the way to go?

Hey dude
You should try doing some drillls in 2 min on 1 min off.
I love doing
Burpee Jacks 30 sec
Plank ups 30 sec
Shuffles 30 sec
Cone hops 30 sec
Then rest for 1 min
Repeat 10 times
I do that 1-2 times a week.
If you are concerned about keeping your burn up over all keep your normal day activity higher (NEAT) http://mayoresearch.mayo.edu/mayo/re..._lab/about.cfm
Good luck man

Skip the spirals, run straight up, parachute down, repeat process.
Once you get in better shape, you can ditch the parachute.

one word for you, my friend: STEPMILL
that insanity is by far THE BEST cardio workout you'll ever have, and i can say that with assurance. i've spent perhaps 75% of my adult life doing all and every kind of cardio training- HIIT, endurance, indoors, outdoors, every machine known to man, all kinds of mountains, you name it...
and that thing wins.
it took me nearly 6 months, but i was able to get to level 20 on that monster. the highest they make it.
i'm off cardio for a bit now. to say the least. LOL

WHOA.
I do that thing for 5 minutes on my leg day just as a warm up. I hate that monster. You = awesome for maxing it out. It is great cardio.
Jumping rope, swimming, and stationary bike are ones I like.

IMO there is no better cardio workout than MMA. BJJ burns up calories and nothing I have tried in the gym matches the intensity of rolling. Especially when your doing continous grappling.

lol, well thanks. but unfortunately, i am living proof that no matter how much and how intense your cardio, that high level of fitness is alas not going to be reflected in your physique. i'm fit as hell on the inside, but my outside doesn't show it as much as it should. hence my giving up on that insane thing for now, i'm hitting the weight room like there's no tomorrow
