Question Motivation

Like many women out there, I run into the question... How do you stay motivated? I am a very emotional eater and have a hard time staying on track (exercise and nutrition). What are your tricks to staying on course?

When that PMS kicks in and all you want is that chocolate cake, what do you do?

How do you make yourself go to the gym even after a long day at work?

Me...I stay motivated by thinking about how far I've come and how "hard" I've worked to get here! Would never want to have to repeat all this "hard work" just to able to eat snickers and Mickey Dee's...it's just not worth it!

I work out at home, so I see my home gym every day and realize that I have "no excuse"...although sometimes I still make them!

I am new at dieting and working out so I am just beginning. Right now, what is motivating me is knowing that if I keep this up and stay focused (which ive already seen small/minor results), this time next year I will be at the beach

I havn't been to the beach in a bathing suit in over 13 years because I just never liked the way I looked. Now I'm beginning to see a small changes and by next summer....watch out!!!! wohoooo

Start an online journal in the women's section

You'll be held accountable by your (cyber) friends, and less likely to cheat because you know you're going to report back to them later. Also, keeping a food journal so that you can physically see how much you're eating.

To make mysel go to the gym after a long day at work/school, I remind myself of all the eye candy that will ALSO be going to the gym after a long day at work/school

I started tracking my workouts several years ago and was able to see the progress I was making as well as seeing the physical changes to my self. Now that I've been able to return, due to a couple of injuries, I've been tracking again and have been able to make gains quicker by checking out a previous workout. I also work with a bunch of people who are constantly complaining about their weight and don't do anything about it and that makes me want to go straight to the gym from work.

My husband is a great support as well and is in the gym at least 5 times a week. Seeing him stay consistent and make the gains he wants to make is a great motivater
