sigh......
Unfortunuately I have experienced similar. My natural bone structure and musculature is broader in the shoulders than hips and absolutely no ass or hips unless I start to gain weight.
Lifting and my hobby of swordplay and mixed martial arts has given me Popeye forearms.
Combine those with a confident 'presence' and you get what some folks would consider a masculine presence and appearance.
sigh.......
Someday we'll break out of the mentality that feminity must be small, quiet and not making eye contact or what the heck ever folks are looking for.
Well, I like my shoulders. I like my Popeye's. I even rather enjoy my flat butt on occasion
It's a mind set. Hmmmph!

It's funny, because as much as British society chooses to rebuke the physique I have, I have always liked it and strive to be more athletic and muscular. Long-term I'm moving to Germany - people are taller and I like it there - and I have no desire to waste away in this crummy country lol. In order for me to reach my full potential I need to step out of the confines of my surroundings.

That is a great statement..one of those that you would see on a t-shirt or poster for inspiration! And it rings very true.

Just sayin'.
edited to add: just saw your bodyspace pics. If anything makes you look like a man, it is that 4WD Truck tattoo. You also have pretty large arms and shoulders compared to a very slim waist section. Disproportionately large but not huge.

The truck tattoo is a RIP tattoo for my friend who I lost to suicide and would not change it for the world.. I love it and do not regret it one ounce.. If that makes me look like a man ?? I dont understand why maybe I should get a tattoo on my netherregion of a penis? maybe that would help lol

This may sound silly, but why don't you have it printed and hang it somewhere that you can read it to yourself out loud when the going gets tough? Or actually have it put on a shirt so you can read it while you work out on those days you have a hard time of it?

Haven't read the rest of the thread, but just want to say this:
Punch those motherf*ckers on the face! Then ask them, do I hit like one too?
(A sexy outfit is highly recommended along with pictures of the scene.)
Oddly enough, those people dogging are usually fat pieces of sh*t, jealous because they'll never get off their lazy asses to start working on building a decent physique.

That is too cool. Brave also! I am terrified of needles. EEK! I would love a tattoo but can't get past that needle phobia.

Wow, some guy thought he was complimenting me tonight when he said he thought I was a guy when he first came to one of my gigs. I'm thinking it might be better just cutting my hair and dressing as one. I'm foofin' hungry....

For whatever it's worth, the type of guys who drive around in a group catcalling women, whether being critical of you, or whistling at their dream girl with long skinny legs and arms, 6" heels that she's teetering on, big boobs with a tight top, blond hair--are these the type of guys you want to know? Do you really care what they think? These are guys who's idea female form is the stereotypical hooker! I'm sure this sounds arrogant, but the type of guys you really care to know probably don't drive around yelling at women.
I really think a lot of the issue is that your external strength says something about who you are. It says you are strong, determined, tough--you are not going to be some guy's door mat. A lot of guys have a need to dominate women, to the point of abuse, and a lot of women go along, because I think they want or need to be "taken care of". You clearly are not that woman, and I think that is really threatening to the type of guy who needs a subservient woman to reassure him of his "alpha male" status.
There are other guys who will respect you for your achievements. There are guys who find your muscles sexy. Care about what those guys think. But, mostly, care about what you think.

Thanks, guys
My main frustration atm is just having to breathe the same air as idiots like that, haha. I'm working towards a point where I can make a living from home...writing or something. I'm working on a book which is pretty much finished but this is the boring bit - editing! I would love love love to be able to get published and be a writer for a living.
Can't wait to get back to the gym on Monday

I look kinda like a dude whether I work out or not, I look like a lot better looking dude if I work out! And feel tons better, too!
As for the looking like a dude thing, it's really only bothersome when using a public bathroom, if there are other women around I'll try to puff my chest out a bit, and making some innocuous comment helps a lot, because then they hear I have a gal's voice not a guy's so that sets them at ease. My voice is low but not as low as a guy's.

Most people who say that you or any of us look like a guy are just jealous. I got that a lot from women out here and just from looking at them I could tell they were jealous. I got remarks like "oh my she is a man" to "what was she thinking wearing that". It's mostly just jealousy because they are too lazy to get in the gym to do the same thing! Just keep lifing and don't worry about the people who only have a purpose in trying to make peopel feel bad about themselves simply because they feel bad about the way they look.

Keep on keeping on. Most people don't appreciate the essence of beauty. To my surprise, some guys tell me that I'm too big and some women find my body as too much. For the guys, they just hate because it started with self-hate. They don't cherrish themselves so they cant appreciate anything else. For the ladies, I always thought it was an issue of pride. I know not everyone wants a 60" chest, 22" arms, and 32" legs. But i thought it was a factor of feeling esteemed around him, like an upper advantage of being desirable. Its all a mind games that everyone should keep in their mind and just deal with it.
You are an attractive woman....but in the end your opinoin matter. We need adversity anyways. It wouldnt make life challenging . Be easy and keep looking good.

This topic was already here several times....
It is an old thing that people are affraid of strenght and muscles in the deep mind. Roots are both biological as well as cultural.... It is hard to say that in few words....
But I deal with this from my teens. I do BB from my 16.... I am broad in bone structure. I have big hips and butt but also shoulders and back. I ALWAYS had big legs....
But usually I did not invited sensations - well this summer I finally achieved 25" quads and almost 15" arms.. so when I walk on the streets in tank top and shorts I see how MAJORITY of people is staring at me and starts to talk, laugh, looking disgusted etc...
I dont care. Why to react.... But sometimes it is funny to me and I just needs to hide my laugh
And well - that people are upset is the sign I am in shape

Can't see how any of you could be mistaken for a man ? nope checked your profiles again just to be sure , put down comments usually come from someone with a low self asteem problem or someone who has tried to change and failed !, bet half the comments from other ladies are a defence response and possibly a reflection of their own insecurities, as for male comments ,well you are in male ego territory now,and most men insult when they know they stand no chance (goes back to child hood hit the girls you like etc) usual comments get turned down assume she is a lesbian rather than accept a knockback, bet half of the guys would love to date you etc ,we all train for ourselves and for our own reasons as it should be , in the UK it is not as "accepted " for ladies who BB or train hard, but that is the way it is over here , do I feel inferior if a woman lifts more than me no maybe jealous, just have to work harder , even joke how a lady ,a pensioner and probably my Mum can out lift me ,if you get insulted use it ,if you get complimented again use it, but to be honest do we really care what other people think ,yes it's nice to get honest opinions on here about progress as we cannot always judge ourselves with being to critical . well thats my tuppence worth anyway ,keep training you look great and are achieving your goals and after all thats what we all strive for

I'm with Dibbler on this--none of you women come close to looking like a man, those comments are simply absurd. Either the people making them are jealous that you look good and have the will power to work hard, or they are so narrow minded as to be scary. There are certain pro female bodybuilders that have more masculinized features, due in part to shooting huge quantities of male hormones, but none of you are remotely close to looking like that. And even the pros, for the most part, look like women, despite all their muscle. For someone to assume anyone with any muscle looks like a man is just stupid. The fact is, most men would do well to have the bodies of the female bodybuilders--In fact, I always say my personal goal would be to look as good as a female pro bodybuilder!
Just do what you do, and forget these guys. Find guys that can appreciate how you look, and you for you.

Trust me, every guy who works out even semi regularly knows what a woman has gone through to get and maintain her build. its not easy

I often get this as well because of the clothing I wear and such. whether it be t shirt and jeans or tshirt and track pants I get mistaken for a guy all the time and its obvious I dont look like a guy. It can be frustrating at times. and alot of times I will change my hair style just so I wont be mistaken or told I look like a guy. I shouldnt let what others think get to me.
