Affliction PPV...
I'm just very confused.
If you are going to put on a MMA show backed by Trump $$ to try to compete with the established organizations, then why would you have such a craptastic production quality? Why the hell would you have Megadeth play? I thought Megadeth only played Chili Cookoffs and crap these days...
I liked a few of the fights, but overall I just don't get what was in these guys heads. Bad production, bad commentary and overhyped fights FTL.
Does anyone else think this is a bad model to compete in the MMA world?

Opinions are like *******s as they say. I enjoyed the high level Metal that Megadeath provided. Mustaine's voice is clearly shot but it was heavy as hell. Ill let them work their problems out on the rest of the issues but Megadeath was a highlight for me.

I liked the event alot, was pretty damn good for there 1st one. However, I didn't like music. I want to watch fighting, if I wanted to listen to music I would put on (what ever music channel)

lol, I guess old man metal doesn't appeal to the younger demographic.

Im old and if it isnt heavy and make people cringe then im not interested. Pass out the vasoline and visit the San Francisco bath houses if Megadeath is too heavy for you.

I really liked the Affliction show. Maybe I'm in the targeted demographic, I don't know.
I've never cared for Megadeth, but I am an old school metal fan, and like a lot of bands from the same era. So I enjoyed seeing a live band shredding between fights. If it would have been Papa Roach or someone, I probably would've thought it was cheesy.
And seeing fighters that I've been following for a long time was awsome. See guys like Barnett and Fedor that you don't get to see much anymore really made the show enjoyable for me. I also thought the fights on the undercard was really good. I bought the PPV and I was pleased, which is more than I can say for the past couple UFC's I've bought.
Like I said maybe I was the target demographic (getting old as fck, long time mma fan, old school metal fan etc).

I agree the Production quality was abysmal at all levels. And you can't really say "First time", because the industry has experience with hundreds of events like this. It seemed like Affliction just hired a bunch of guys off the street to runs things.
On the bright side for my wallet, it means I likely won't drop the $50 on their next event.

I'm very sorry that your daddy touched you when you were little. I'm sorry that your only direction to go when replying to this thread was a butt sex one. I'm very sorry that the only way you know how to communicate is by brandishing your deep mental (and anal) scars. I truly pity you.
I am a unlicensed therapist though and I know how to solve all of your problems. It involves a rope, a chair and a nice sturdy ceiling beam... Feel free to PM me if you like I can provide a diagram for you. Just please do this before you breed and spread your retardation down into the next generation.

Back to the topic at hand though. Affliction has no excuse with the first time crap. If they didn't know how to produce a show then they should have paid someone who knew what they were doing.
Whether or not you like the UFC they are the big dog on the block, and any new organization is going to be competing against them for viewers. It's not any easier for them with the UFC doing free events on nights that these new shows are doing their PPV either.
So they really need to put up good quality shows, shelf the 80's metal and try to give the viewers a reason to give them their $45 instead of the UFC. Their first event certainly did not do that and no amount of gay butt sex references will change that.

Megadeth is the **** brah. Mustaine's voice was a little off but they were still badass nonetheless.

The fights were good, the show was horrid - especially for something that cost a decent chunk of money.
