Synergy, 14th Street, NYC. Nothing fancy but it is easy to get to, has great hours, and not overly crowded when I go at night.

im upstate near rochester. there are really only 3 places to work out around here (victor/farmington) i go to snap fitness 24 hour. its a nice place, clean friendly atmosphere, not ideal for powerlifting though. i will probably have to find another gym once i want to move on to more hard core stuff, but for now its good. the 24 hour a day aspect is awesome though.
anyone from around here? haha

im in upstate....a bit further north though, in watertown. Im stationed at Fort Drum....I work out at the gyms on post. I honestly dont think there are any gyms in watertown, 1 because Ive never seen one and 2 judging by all the disgusting fat bodies in that town Id be surprised if anyone even knows what a gym is.

yeah we have quite a bit of fast food places here.in out mall alone we have 2 pretzel places,2smoothie places,3 chinese places,sabaros pizza,taco bell,tom walls,burger king,arbys,a phillie cheese steak place, a sidewalk cafe,and subway. all that on top of the more high profile restaurants like biaggi italian bistro, pf changs, and champs sports grille. omg i never realized how bad the mall was haha. theres only a handful of people that i have seen that visibly take care of their body and/or lift seriously. i mean dont get me wrong, the whole town isnt fat, but the whole town isnt healthy either.

Lol, yeah, and I think there's another strip joint a little further down Queens Blvd as well! I had no clue when I moved into the area, I saw a pretty large gym around the corner from my apt, and a subway down the street, and that was all I needed! 
My brother immediately knew the area! Told me Mr. WIggles had an 'excellent lunch buffet!' -lmao

Not a fancy gym, but its cheap and has everything you need. 200 dollars per year.

I was looking at apts in astoria. Not a big fan of teh couple of gyms I saw there. I recall an old World Gym down in the village a while back when I was going to NYU. Made me really hate the school facilities -lol

Used to train at Valencia and that place had great equipment!
Checked out Excalibur back then but all the leg equipment was downstairs with low ceilings. Not good.

For years I drove past Platinum and thought that it was just another strip joint until I walked by in the daytime and saw the treadmills in the window, lol. I was a member there before deciding to look for another 24/7 gym closer to work.
