Ah but I'm healthier than when I was young so technically I have reversed the aging process and am younger I can only die when I get older and that hasn't happened yet

well here's my deal with eggs.. If the egg is very fresh yes than I will eat it raw with a squeeze of lemon juice, in fact my ex Girlfriend's father is a farmer
and I spent a lot of time on his farm helping out (well I did more eating and drinking his wine than anything else)
anyway it is common to eat raw fresh eggs when working,
4-6 eggs in a couple of hours was the norm
I do it now sometimes... but the egg has to be 2 days old top or it just doesn't taste the same, whenever I can I get my eggs from a local farmer, they are from free range and organic chickens and they are a treat to your palate..
These days the risk of getting salmonella is nonexistent ...you are more likely to get hill from tainted produce than eggs, on top of that even if you do get the bacteria in your body the amount found in eggs is so tiny that it will pass through without doing any harm or even knowing
A study by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2002 (Risk Analysis April 2002 22(2):203-18) suggests the problem is not as prevalent as once thought. It showed that of the 69 billion eggs produced annually, only 2.3 million of them are contaminated with salmonella - equivalent to just one in every 30,000 eggs - thus showing that salmonella infection is quite rarely induced by eggs.
mass produced chickens are more likely to be infected than cage free

Wow, lot of interesting information,
I have always eaten them raw and have never had any issues, 6-8 a day, it is a quick way to get a little extra, of a different type of protein in my shakes,
I do only buy the cage free, and those loaded with extra Omega's course like everything else you never really know that it is what it says it is, but it makes me feel better, LOL
As far as the health issues of eating raw eggs, all I can say is there are much worse things to eat, and we never think twice about it. Do you read the ingredients on the foods you buy, YIKES
If I understand history correctly, we were eating the egg before we ever thought about eating the chicken that laid it.
