I thought there was no **** to be put in this thread not even commentary other than the contests updates etc...turning into a children's sandbox fight...Moderators should just get rid of all the crap...if posts are simply deleted because of being negative that will discourage random "internet-warriors" from waging war...

Thanks!!
Man, i hope more people actually finished this thing.
I'm a full-time college student, have 2 jobs (i had 3 jobs in april) but i always try to find a way to get an update in. This thread isn't my life...and this forum board isn't my life, but i always try to set aside 2 to 3 minutes of my time to post an update. Like i said, thank you...i really busted my ass, and it's hard to do this for 6 months straight, you do lose motivation as time goes on, and sometimes you feel like theres no reason to go to the gym, but you do need a break sometimes. that's what kept me going... 2-3 days of rest, and i'm back on track...it worked for me. Just do it as a lifestyle, play basketball, football, have contests with your buddies...whatever it is!
peace

Tanizaki's Final Post
I'm posting this final update on behalf of Tanizaki, who started the contest at 195.4 and has ended it at 174.0 for a 21.4 pound loss. I could be wrong, but of those who are left I believe that makes him the winner of this contest. Good job, Tanizaki!!
As for me, while there is no debate that I am in much better condition now than I was in January, I didn't really manage to lose much weight. I started at 284 and finished at 275. My starting body fat was 31% and my finishing body fat is approximately 27%. My goal for the rest of this year is to lose 5 pounds a month, putting me at 245 by the end of the year.
For those of you who finished the contest, congratulations on a job well done. I wish you all the best of luck in your future health and fitness endeavors.
Y'all take care.

I went from 353 to 304, making my total loss 49 pounds for the contest. I really wanted to be below 300 but weighing 304 fully clothed is probably right at 300. My loss was steady and consistent, as I had hoped for. All my lifts went up substancially and I am using creatine, Animal Pak and Animal Flex.
I'll post the BEFORE and AFTER pics Saturday night.
July 1 makes exactly one year since I started on this journey, making my total loss 146 pounds in one year. Hopefully by next July 1st, I'll have reached my goals.

Since the contest is without a leader and I am an original judge......On Monday, July 7th, I will create a poll in the losing fat section to determine the winner. If there are more than 10 people (I believe that is the limit for a poll), then I will create it by nomination. Then the people will decide your winner.
This contest has had its ups and downs, but we can end it with a little dignity. I am open to suggestions, as well. To be in the poll, I need a before and after pic, as well as your before and after stats....if you didn't post them. You also had to have posted all updates monthly, as stated in the rules. You can PM them to me as well.
Keep the updates coming.

Fade - way to represent Team Extreme baby!!!!
I started this thing out at 258 lb with a final weight of 213 lb for a total loss of 45 pounds. The love the fact that I'm 45 pounds lighter, but above all, I was able to maintain my muscle while doing so. There were times when I felt weak, but there were a lot of times when I felt like bench pressing a house as well. Just wanted to say thanks to MadSano and Normal Man for getting this thing started and keeping it alive. I don't know if I would have had the same results come this July without all the competition. I never really had a problem with my workouts and getting strong. It was always the binge eating and drinking that I had a problem with. Through this competition I've been able to build upon my self control and figure out what my body needs to get into shape. I still look at myself and see that I need to shed another 15 or so pounds. AND trust me, I ain't resting until I'm there. Once I get there, I'll continue the battle to stay there. One last thing: GO TEAM EXTREME!!!!
I'm at work right now, so I'll have to post my photos and stats tonight.

End of 6 months progress update July 2 2008
Jan 1 2008 - 209lbs (48% bf)
Jul 2 2008 - 154.5lbs (36% bf)
Total lost: 54.5lbs and 12% bf.
The bf% measurement is first thing in the morning on Tanita scale, dehydrated, not the best time, but I'm looking for the relative improvement. In the evening, my bf% is about 33%.
I realize that I still have a long way to go, and I will keep on going. I need to lose another 20lbs at least. And add a lot of lean muscle! But that's what I came to BB.com to learn about.
I've really enjoyed this contest, thank you to all that participated, I really felt strong motivation and support in all the Teams, and enjoyed reading the posts from other teams too. Our ladies team was fantastic, I've met some exceptional people, and I will continue with the journey!
Everyone who has made any kind of change in their lifestyle because of this contest is a winner.
Thank you to MadSano and TheNormalMan for hosting.
Thank you to HotMoltenLava for stepping in at the end - you are very gracious to bring this to finalization.

Awesome job! You've really made a transformation!
I don't have a camera currently so I may not be able to post the final pics but I'll try. I didnt make much improvement the first two months, my weight stayed the same. I found out I was eating 2500 cals and so in March I bumped it down to 2000 and the last month and a half I've bumped it down to 1800. I've lost 10 pounds, 186-176 the last 3 1/2 months and down nearly 4% since the contest began.

July 2008:
Weight: 217
Neck: 12.5
Chest: 38
Forearm: 10 (Left) 9.75 (Right)
Arms: 16.25(Left) 16 (Right)
Waist: 33.25
Hips: 44.5
Thighs: 24 (left) 23.55 (right)
Calves: 17 (Left) 16.5
Notes:
If first off want to say I am very proud of ALL of and extremely proud of the people that made it to the end. This contest has been an interesting ride for me with some low points. I always felt like something was trying to get in my way to stop me and kept reversing my accomplishments.
Feb I got in a car accident that almost totaled my car... because of this I had to get a second job to help pay for repairs. In the beginning of April my grandmother got sick and passed away in the hospital right in front of me. My whole month of April was mostly helping my mother out with moving items. The beginning of June I had a major job shift on my main job, going from third shift to first shift. Working both jobs and going to the gym wasn't easy but I made it possible. There was many times I felt like dropping out of the contest due to feelings but I slapped that idea out of my head.
Overall I did NOT make my goals and I only lost 3lbs since the start of the contest. I did however lose noticeable bodyfat, gained strength, gained some friends, and lost some inches along the way. I'm happy that I'm starting to seem some loss in my upper arms finally since its my most hated part of my body at the moment.
I hope you all keep at it even after the contest is over. Its tough but you have to keep at it. I alway try to find a way to make it fun to make the time fly buy quicker and friends/supports along the way help out a lot!
I also want to say thank you for tagging along with me JadeSky and your transformation is most incredible! You have always been a supportive friend and a cornerstone to TeamG! Rock on Jade! You got my vote and if it counts I recommend voting for Jade

GREAT job from you too, MCG -- I can see you've lost a ton of inches even though the scale loss was small.
You and Jade are amazing
Damn, I can't rep any of you guys If anyone can rep Jade and MCG for me, I'd really appreciate it!

I think the only dramatic difference I can see is the tan I got from forcing myself to spend some time in the sun. It was well worth it too.

This is the dumb*ss that dropped out and quit, yet doesn't hesitate to mock and ridicule others in this thread. Dude has come back under multiple usernames, and keeps getting banned for his efforts.
Seems to me that if he put as much time into improving his physique that he does into posting nonsense messages and negative posts, he wouldn't have gotten to this point in the first place.
Personally, I feel sorry for the guy - the jealousy and bitterness are apparent. Next time he comes in here & starts making fun of others, just keep this in mind.

I don't like calling the dude out like that, but it's really low that he keeps trolling around like he does.
