You don't see yourself the way you actually are. Your mind plays tricks on you...Body Image Disorder is a link to this disease..

I struggled with an eating disorder up to about 4 years ago. For a while I just wouldn't eat anything besides soup 2 or 3 times a day and a couple slices of turkey on whole wheat bread w/ mustard once. Then I tricked myself into believing that I was going to "get into shape" and start running and eating more. Well eating more for me was actually eating no more than 1500kcals a day ever and running between 6-10 miles 4 nights a week. Once a week I might allow myself to go up to 2k for a special meal or something. I think the strain of counting everything was almost worse cuz I never really felt too hungry.
Then I met the girl who is now my fiance and I managed to ease my way out of it, luckily never getting to the point you did. Glad to see you're doing well and thanks again for sharing this man.

Wow! Thats great that you are getting to where you need to be! Love is definetly a helping factor, props to ya!

Thanks for sharing. I've had lots of friends with eating disorders and your transformation is amazing and you look better than ever! It's really cool of you to put your story out there as a male because sometimes I think society forgets that eating disorders are not only a female problem.

I started out much like you: 5'10'' @ 108. Never had to go to the hospital though, but was only 1 or 2 weeks short. Now I'm up to 165 after 6 months and a few days. Want to get to 180-190 then cut down, then keep bulking!
