Crystal Light is the bomb-diggity! I found that store-brand ones are just as good and have (supposedly) zero calories, whereas Crystal Light has like 5-10 (dependsing on the variety). I don't know if you have Meijer stores out there, but their raspberry ice tastes just like Crystal Light's, which is very good. Just gotta watch out for the food dye in it; it can and will get all over everything, and if you forget to wash your hands off..... just bad! Glad you may have found a substitute for the coke zero. Damn gimmicks, making people addicted to stuff thinking it's not bad for them... pop/soda in any form is so bad, so congrats on that!

It was a pretty good workout again tonight. I followed it up with the killer plyometric workout, so I am sufficiently exhausted now and ready for bed! Good night!

Hey another great workout and I really like how you set up your exercises and cristal light really help with my goal of 2 gallons of water x day, sometimes I really tired for just plain water.

Heck yes, Crystal Light is good! Fuerza recommended the Strawberry-orange-banana flavor, and it is awesome! They didn't have a generic for it at walmart, so I got myself the good stuff I'm just going to save the coke for an occasional treat...
Hope all is well!

Thanks! I get sick of plain water, too. I think the Crystal Light will help with my water intake, as well!
Have a good one!
Yesterday was a rest day and a no carb day. I enjoyed my rest, and I didn't enjoy my no carb day. Oh well. Today is leg day and a high carb day. Yay for lotsa carbs, not so much yay for leg day.

Haha--glad you liked the pictures! You shouldn't have worried about wearing a bikini before! Anyhow, it's not that those women shouldn't be on the beach or anything...it's just that perhaps a thong is NOT in order there. They should lift!!
Thanks for the encouraging words! You'll get there with your squats. Don't push too fast for weight on those; form is soooo important. Lots of weight and not going down far enough is useless! Keep at it, you're doing great! Also, not to sound like a broken record here, but keeping your muscles fueled with lots of protein will help your strength and muscle growth. You won't gain fat with protein!
Hope you have a great weekend as well!

MMMC took that quote entirely out of context. She was complaining that Mighty Metcalf was going to win the contest and that she had no chance of winning. I told her she could if she got off her ass and did some cardio. So you see, it was motivational. Kind of like Mick from Rocky

LOL--It's such a pain, right? My husband doesn't understand the pain...he's one of those people that is GOOD at cardio. He also frequently tells me, "you don't want to be eating that...your blood sugar is just low." I keep telling him that if most people heard him telling me that, they would think he's a controlling a-hole. He tells me he's just helping me reach my goals. I know he is , but I like giving him a hard time.

Comparison pictures
Here are some comparisons of now vs. January:
Please ignore the bug bites, bruises, and farmer's tan
Edit: Oh, yeah. And the stretch marks. Ignore the stretch marks too. God, I'm gorgeous

Changes in stats
Here are the changes in my body composition:
Height--try as I might, I will not grow. I'm still 5'1". Damn.
Weight--Jan: 104lbs. June: 101lbs. Change: -2.97%
Chest--Jan: 35.3in. June: 35.5. Change: +.71% (I'm assuming this is in my lats. Girls' boobs don't grow at my age. Double damn.)
Arms--Jan: 9.9in. June: 10.5. Change: +6.3%. Yay! This was obviously just adding muscle. What funny is that they don't look any bigger to me at all.
Hips--Jan: 36in. June: 35.5. Change: -1.4%. Yay again!
Waist--Jan: 25.3. June: 23.5. Change: -6.9%. Positive change here. I remember, though, that I had a 22 in. waist before I had kids. I think those days are over...
Thighs--Jan: 20.3in. June: 20.8in. Change: +2.5%. These are measuring bigger, but look better.
Calves--Jan: 13.9in. June: 14in. Change: +.9%. Ehh.
Shoulders--Jan: 36.8in. June: 38in. Change: +3.4%. This was a good change.
Lifts (1RM)
Bench: Jan: 52. June: 68. Change: +30.8%
Squat: Jan: 80. June:139. Change: + 73.8%
Deadlift: Jan: 87. June: 158. Change: + 81.6%
Bicep curl: Jan: 13. June: 17. Change: +30.8%
Bent over rows: Jan: 56. June: 79. Change: +41.1%
Military press: Jan: 49. June: 54. Change: +10.2%
I'm proud of the changes in my squat in deadlift.

Thank you! I think the back show the most muscle on me. I need to burn off some more fat so that the rest can be seen, too.
You have done fantastic this month. I'm especially impressed because of you being in the process of moving and everything. That must be sooo hectic! Good work!

Soooo, guess what I did yesterday?
I
did
CARDIO! YAY!
I went on an awesome bike ride with my husband. It was so nice! I hadn't been bike riding since forever ago, so it was a lot of fun. THAT type of cardio I don't mind! Maybe we'll do it again today. It's really nice outside, so it'd be a good day for it.
Hope everyone's well!

The thing with Mighty is that he didn't start in a 'negative' position, as I call it. I like the guy, but he started out with a ton of muscle, not a whole lot of fat, etc. Noobies are much more likely to win this thing, as I see it being more of a "change your life forever" contest, instead of a "get into contest shape" contest. Mighty, if you read this, I wish you all the best, but I'm gonna beat you (in the contest, that is).

In my personal opinion you girls(Sinsational, spldbtch and mmmc) have a good change to win because is not who are the most leaner or big , the thing for this contest is who has the best body recomposition from January to July.
