Talking Any advice for beginners?

Sounds easy, but here's the hard part: I'm pregnant so I just need to get started light for now so my recovery is faster and then I can really get started. I just figure the you're women (well most of you) so maybe you would have a little advice. I'm not trying to lose any weight...I'm 5'2" and 126 lbs, so I really want to tone and build, not really shrink. I'll try to post some pics today to give y'all an idea of what I'm working with. Thanks!

I'll let the ladies confirm fact from fiction. But I know a lot of women who worked out almost all the way to term. Most did low to high cardio depending on how they felt, and then yoga (there is moma yoga for when you're further along in your term). I think you can lift but at a certain point it may be difficult.

Good luck.

Unfortunately, all I did was sit around eating bon bons and cheetos with swolen ankles both children. But I can tell you that as long as your doctor okays it, it's quite alright to exercise. They're are certain lifts you will not want to do while pregnant...so I say, check with your "doc" as he/she will give you the do's and don'ts for pregnancy. Congrats with your new baby!

Congrats mommy to be how awesome!! If you are new to lifting you need to ok with your dr 1st. I know plenty of women who trained through their entire pregnancy...but they had been lifting for many years.
