JJanet and I have competition going on who can do the most cardio......um, tell me again how it's not failure? If I jumped everyday at the same pace and she'd only have to do an hour of cardio for the month and she'd still win

Yesterday I didn't make the gym, was running errands and it got too late. Went to my friends to watch the fight. Everything I ate yesterday, probably over 2000 calories:
Carna Asada - 1 cup
Turkey lasagna - 2 inch square
3 lumpias
BBq chicken - 1/4 cup
Spanish rice - 1/4 cup
Toffee cookie - 1
Strawberry Shortcake (1 helping)

Cardio!
Today is going to be my cardio day! That's right JJ, lookout! I did 3 minutes on Friday!
I did jump rope:
1st - 1 min 10 seconds (new record)
2nd - 53 seconds
3rd - 55 seconds
4th - 1 minute
I tried to make sure I got at least 100 jumps in before I pooped out. I dig having a stop watch on my ipod. I picked up a Billy Blanks Bootcamp video yesterday. It's a kickboxing mixed with band work video (55 minutes). I was so drenched in sweat. I loved it!! I couldn't kick very high cuz I could feel it pulling on my low back some but I still got in an awesome workout. Definately look forward to doing this one again. I won't say I did the whole video from start to finish but I did get in a good 45 minutes of it. He had this part where you start standing, hands touch ground in front and feet jump back to push up position. I tried one and it hurt my back so I just stayed on the ground and did some pushups. If I keep up this video I should be able to reach my goal of one armed push ups in no time. I've been lacking on the p/ups department. I'm shooting for mostly cardio this week with really light weights if I do any at all, mostly to kick some butt in this contest (and as an added bonus to kick JJ's butt too).
Ok, folks help me show JJanet some love here. She ordered her REDuction which should be here by Monday (last day for REDuction contest), I'm trying to talk her into joining in on the contest but she's too ...I'll use the word shy instead of . Well off to have some salmon and do laundry!

So I bring it down and I pppppppppuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh hhh with all my might to get that sucker back up. My feet were flying like Fred Flintstone trying to get that baby back up. I did 4.....some beach! Oh yeah, I'm sure it looked pretty hysterical.

No sign of the REDuction yet. I am crossing my fingers that BB.com awesome shipping will fail me this one time and arrive a day later than expected. *crosses fingers and prays fervently* LMAO! :P Not that I don't want to kick your butt in our contest... BUT... jumping rope is WAY HARDER than every form of cardio I am doing. You should multiply your jump rope minutes by like.. 4 of something! :P

Diet was good yesterday...until I had some potato chips. Huh, oh well. My calves are so sore today and I'm starting the new crossfit workout tonight so we'll see how that goes.
Been sleeping like a baby, except last night I woke up once. I think it was fate. I woke up, noticed that there was light in the livingroom. Was pretty sure I turned the light off. Walked in and the front door was open. I guess I forgot to lock it and the wind blew it open. That wasn't what freaked me out though. Roxy was outside, guess she figured the door was open and decided to take herself for a walk. Luckily she was right outside sniffing around. I called her and she came right back in. If there were people out she would've chased them down and if they tried to catch her she'd take off.
Oh, and I tried to do a one armed pushup yesterday....didn't happen. Found an exercise that'll help (one leg on bosu and same side arm on ball). Ouch!!

I am uber-bummed that bb.com is so DAMN amazing!! The REDuction is here. I was hoping and praying that I could use its late arrival as an excuse for my chicken-ways. *Sigh*. I guess I just have to...
... ADMIT I WON'T DO A LOG... this time. Although I'm seriously considering doing one in the near future! Thanks for your encouragement, Laurie. You're the best.

Alot of the 1 arm push up is balance too, like getting used to the motion so don't think that your weak or anything you just need to practice

Crossfit
Tonight was my first day of crossfit. How do I describe it...hhmmmm......f'in insane!! First let me give props to my girl Stormi (total hotness!!). http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/Stormiorsini/
She hooked me up with this workout. This is the "Body by Storm" Crossfit Intermediate Workout 1
Cycle 1: (did 2 sets)
2 minutes Jump Rope (high intensity) - I tried for 2 minutes
Max Reps - Push ups - Got about 20 reg; than dropped to knees for 15 more
12-15 Jump Squats - 15 without the weights (go see video)
30 Walking Lunges (weighted with 15lbs or higher db's) - tried with 20lbs bb; **** that! dropped the weights and did it without
8-10 reps of Lateral Shoulder raises - 8 with 10lbs
8-10 reps of Shoulder Press - 8 with 12lbs, 2nd time with 10lbs
Cycle 2: (did 2 sets)
3 minutes Jump Rope - I think I only made it to a minute if even that
Max Reps Pull Ups - 15 Assisted with 90lbs (hey, I'm a fat ****er); 10 next round
15 Ball Slams with medicine ball - Didn't even attempt these; did more jump squats
20 GHD sit ups - These would kill my back (look them up) I did regular crunches instead.
You can go to crossfit.com to look up some of these exercises. What you think these exercises are and what they really are will blow your mind.
I didn't take any rest between any of the exercises in each cycle. The weights were nothing, squats and lunges I can do in my sleep but the not resting part.........damn! I could barely breathe. I was ready to puke after the first set in cycle 1. I used an extra large scoop of Wraath today and even that wasn't going to save me. This whole workout probably only took me about 30 minutes at the most so I added a little more to it. We'll call this
Psycho 3: (2 sets)
Jump Rope - Till I was ready to fall down
More pushups - different hand position (elbows close)
Bicycles/criss crosses - could barely breathe think I may have gotten a good 10
Box jumps - I used the aerobic steps they had, piled it up 4 high, I actually felt these more than I did the jump squats
I did more jump roping at the end, I got about 7 minutes of jump roping total. Hai!
Diet was really good today:
Cals 1117/Fat 28/Carbs 83/ Prot 137
I need to go lay down now!
Stormi - take a bow. I don't think I've worked this hard in I don't know how long!
Must pass out now.

P.S. I would give you a 10-hour headstart in our contest, but I have a feeling I will need all the help I can get this time around!

Holy cow, that workout totally sounds intense!! I definitely feel you about the no rest part, too!! I was taking a quasi-break before each set of sit-ups, but then would totally feel like hurling so I kept going! LOL WAY TO GO, Laurie, you're a rockstar!!!
And LOL about the tracking number part for JJanet - way to keep tabs!! Best of luck to both of you, but hey, if each get rockin' bods out of it (obviously more rockin' then they already are!), then everyone wins, YAY!
