Thanks. That would be great.
BTW I'd say your making great progress - lost 14lbs in 5 weeks. Continue to think on your victory and use that to encourage yourself. It may seem slow to you, but keep with it and I'm sure you'll see more progress. Are you eating 5 or 6 smaller meals throughout the day rather than 3 or 4 big ones? If not you might give that a try. Eating more smaller meals will help to increase your metabolism. Also, while I'm not a fanatic about my portions, I do measure them and track my calories. It's amazing what our minds think is a serving versus actuality. Keep up the good work!

Hey all, I was doing a search for Christian groups on here and this is the thread that had the most replies. I'm wondering if there are other Christian threads such as this one that are just as active?

Wassup?!?!...Well, I made a huge step this weekend. I took off my shirt in public for the first time in 4 years. I have always had a complex with how I looked and would not go shirtless. Right now, I am the closest I have ever been to looking the way I want to. God is transforming me into what I need to be to complete the works he has in store for me. Here are some pics my wifey snapped while a wasn't looking

Cool Passage
Good morning brothers and sisters in Christ. Its been several months since I had the time to post in the forum. I've been busy in the gym and God is helping me become the best "Temple" for Him that I can be.
I was reading from Genesis 38 and stumbled upon an awesome promise. The story is of Judah, son of Jacob and father of the tribe of Judah which became the southern kingdom of Israel. In this passage Judah marries a Cannanite woman, which was forbidden, and has 3 sons. The first 2 were killed because they were evil in the sight of the Lord. Judah's oldest son married a Cannanite named Tamar. She needed a son in order to survive, since women didn't work back then. Judah's 2nd son refused and was killed by God. Judah didn't give his youngest to her, but told her to wait.
When Tamar realized (a while later) that she wouldn't get the husband she was promised, she dressed as a prostitute and slept with her father in law. When Judah found out what he had done he kept her in his house and provided for her. God gave Tamar twin sons.
HERE IS THE COOL PART. Read the geneology in Matt 1, and Luke 3. Judah's descendants all come through Tamar's twins. Not only that, Tamar is mentioned in the family history of Jesus Christ Himself in the Matthew passage! Only 4 women were mentioned in this passage, quite an honor. God showed mercy on this woman who was forgotten and left to fend for herself in a cruel world. God is Just, but don't forget He loves you and will provide for you. God is forgiving, and is waiting for you to ask Him for forgiveness. A relationship with the All-Powerful, All-Knowing Creator is a cool thing. Don't take it for granted. Have you spoken to Him today? Are you living your life as His obedient child, or are you a rebel?

Hey guys, I'm relatively new.
Just got back from a Christian camp, and it's really made me re-think my life and what God's put me on earth for. It's time for change in my life.

That's awesome. We need more people to realize that their purpose in life is to glorify God and do His will, whatever that might entail. Act on this desire to change your life. Find someone to disciple you. Meet on a weekly basis with someone older in the faith and help each other draw closer to Christ.

Grape, you are massive, just keep lifting heavy and transform into the build you want to be. the temple is not built in a day. take baby steps, but be sure to take the first step. keep at it, dedication and perseverance pay off. you may have to change some eating habits to transform....good luck, keep posting and sharing your progress. peace, Rich

Duane, thanks for prodding the Christians on this site to band together to share and support each other. We are mighty in our strength when we band together. The quote, I can do all things in Christ is balanced very nicely with John 5:30 when Christ prays to His Father, "Of myself I can do nothing". He knows full well that we are a creation of our Heavenly Father and without Him we would not be. Every breath we take comes from Him. It is a joy that we can do all things in Him for His glory and honor.
I am doing prison ministry at the present and use the book WILD AT HEART by John Eldredge to take the men on the masculine journey. Awesome change in their hearts as they go through the book. There are also camps to experience the wild in our hearts. Horseback riding, mountain climbing, zip lines, etc. to keep us on our adventure and get us ready to battle the forces of evil that hit us up each day.
Peace, brothers, Rich

welcome,
last night I was able to do prison ministry with a group of men. We are going through John Eldredge's Wild at Heart. It is inspiring that the men can be so positive when in such a controlled environment.
They only make 11 to 25 cents an hour in the jobs they do. If they can get a gate release to work outside the prison they can make 48 cents an hour. That has to be depressing to work all week and make at most $20 to send home to your wife.
The world, the devil and self continually attack us. With the armor of God we can be ready to meet temptations and be victorious.
Stay strong, men and meet the challenges of today.
Peace, Rich

Looking for Prayers
Good Evening from Florida Brothers and Sisters. My wife and I were approached by our churches youth pastor to become Sunday school teachers. Neither of us have any experience in teaching and are a little fearful to take on this responsibility and are praying for guidance from God on this matter. I would appreciate it if you all could include us in your prayers as we figure out what plan God has for us.

A Shameless Plug But I'm Kinda Desperate
I just moved to a new place and I'm low on funds and now I have to travel home. The trip is a 700 mile/12 hour journey and I'm short on money. Anyone able to give me a hand? If you can, I'd appreciate it. Donate any amount at the paypal account in this link:
http://www.martincts.com/donate.html
I don't see names or personal info through paypal so it would be complete secure.
Sorry to come begging for money but it's one of the only things I could think of. Thanks and God Bless you all. If you want to include an address for me, I'll be sure to send you a thank you note.
Joe

Sounds like a great opportunity to serve the Lord. Don't know what age group you are looking at, but here's my experience. Hope it provides some encouragement for you.
I had a desire to teach Sunday School a couple years ago, but had never taught before and it was definitely out of my 'comfort zone'. The Pastor started preaching a couple of messages on serving the Lord even if it wasn't in your comfort zone. Saying if you had the desire, the Lord would provide everything you need to do it.
Well, a couple months after that an opportunity opened up in 2nd/3rd grade and I started helping and then teaching. I taught and helped for 2 years before moving out of state. The Lord absolutely provided all that I needed and I received many blessings over that time.
Pray and prepare and He will take you through it.

Thanks for sharing your story. I am going to attend one of the sunday school classes this Sunday to see what it is all about. Sometimes I guess you just need to have faith and get out of the boat.

Hey guys I think this is the best thread I could psot this in!!
I have problems meeting Christian girls....big problems, I can't find ones I feel like I *should* date or that I want to date....I go to church and there's nothing...I'm not in a Chrisitan college so that's tough as well...
how do you guys reach out? i can never really make good choices with girls because they usually turn out wanting something I refuse to "give up" lol...
help!
