Curvy Girls - Pants??
Okay, so I've seen threads where we all bitch about not being able to find pants. Sooooo, I thought I'd start one where the curvier girls can share where they find pants to fit their shape.
It seems most manufacturers sizes have a 10 inch differential between waist and hips. Well, not all girls are made that way!! What about those of us with a 12+ inch differential?
So, curvy girls, where do you find pants?
Some places I've found to have decide pants:
Ann Taylor Loft
New York and Company
Anyone else? I REALLY need ideas.

Gap wasn't curvy enough for me. The waist was still huge when the hips fit. I might try it again though. It's not like clothes sizes stay the same unfortunately.

Gap Curvy wasn't curvy enough for me either. I've had luck at Banana Republic, Calvin Klien Jeans, and DKNY Jeans.
Also, places that do not cater to young people tend to fit beter.

The absolute best JEANS I have found are
1) Hudson
and. . .in as much as I hate to admit it. . .because I can't stand the little weasel who owns the company. . .
2) WILLIAM RAST.
I tried on a pair of William Rast jeans the other day and OMG. . .I looked so damn good. Believe me, it was the jeans. I'm fighting saddle bags from hell right now. My waist is small, my hips. . .not so small. Not a all. I didn't have the stupid little waistband gap and the back - NOTHING. They were awesome.
They are stupidly expensive, but totally worth it.

I always wear low-rise pants because of the gaping waist on most brands of trousers.

Gap curvy is a lie. Very upsetting.
I like The Limited for dress pants, but the jeans don't work (wtf?) I'm going to check out Williamrast.
Is there any specialty Jean stores by you? When I used to live in Pittsburgh, we have a place called the Pittsburgh Jean Company, where they work miracles. Its the only 2 pairs of jeans I wear (people dont notice right?)
If you discover another other miracles, please let me know!

The problem with low rise is that I have stretch marks in front. And unlike some females. I look in the mirror before I go out.

LOL, just go to the mall, don't have to go anywhere near a bakery to get plenty of muffin tops these days.
Anyway, don't discount stetch pants/jeans with some spandex either. Many times these will give you the stretch for the hips and still fit the waist.
Again, looking in the mirror first is always nice... Spandex is a privilege, not a right.

If your looking for dress pants, try Sears. I forget the brand name of their career clothing, but the Rosa cut is great for curvy women. It was actually curvy enough for my curves.

VS jeans are good. Pretty true to size, and flattering.
Apple Bottom's are also good, but the back pockets are a little too blingy for me

Thanks everyone. I went to Express today and bought a pair of dress pants and a pair of jeans. There's still some gap at the back but no where near as bad. Thanks for the heads up!!! I'll keep my eyes open for the other stores.
Sometimes I really hate being curvy. 24-37/38 SUCKS!!!

I only have Express jeans. They are comfy, inexpensive, and fit nicely on us curvy girls. I'm a dancer, so I have a major booty going on! Let's just say my hips are 40 inches (and shrinking!), and my waist is 28 inches.
If you have the cash flow, go with the spendy brands. I haven't tried them on because I would hate to fall in love with them, and not be able to afford them. I heard Apple Bottoms are good, but I don't think I want jeans with apples as the back pockets...lol Very cute though!

same company basically.
I LOVE express's jeans but they always change their shape on me after a couple months of being washed. I have really short legs so I get the short but they always get REALLY short in the washer (i like to be able to wear heals with the jeans and the jeans not look stupid short) so i always get the mediums ones.
I've heard apple bottoms are awesome but im too scared to order jeans online. lol

I buy all my work pants/skirts from New York & company and never have to get the waist taken in or the length taken up. I also buy my walking shorts there, but have had to take the waist in.
I buy jeans fromm Buckle, b/c they hand make all their jeans so no 2 pair fits the same. I sometimes have to take the waist in and length up, but their jeans fit comfortably overall.

Take them to a taylor they can fix the gap in a snap and it isn't very expensive. It's worth a few extra bucks to have you pants and jeans custom fitted.

For work pants, I love the "Drew Fit" at the Limited. You're short like me so it's great that they also come in different lengths and they will hem the pants for free if you paid full price.
I used to wear Banana Republic but they only fit me when I was 130 lbs and I've lost weight since then and now the size 0 doesn't fit the way I like. From what I make of your stats you are tinier than me.
As for jeans, I'm on board with all the other Guess girls. I have the "daredevil" ones which are lower rise & stretch. I also own a black pair from Express and a pair by Salt but only their one style works for me. I also own a pair of "Denim of Virtue" that flatter my butt and I get tons of complements on them . Bought them at Loehmanns (designer discount store). Here is the link to the jeans website http://www.denimofvirtue.com/styles.html (mine are similar to slim boot style 2227)
I've tried Rast (usualy see them at Nordstrom rack), but they weren't flattering on my hips (looked boxy) but I do remember there wasn't much of a gap in the waist. I haven't had much luck with Lucky but my sister has and she is curvy too. Basically I have to try on 50 pairs of pants before I find one that fits/looks good so I feel your pain.
And I'm used to having my clothes altered. At 5 feet, most of my pants have to be hemmed. If you buy to fit your hips/butt and it's just an inch or 2 too big in the waist, have a tailor take them in. But I don't bother if the gap is bigger than this.

I have some dress pants from NY & Co that fit alright.
Banana Republic is so expensive LOL. I might peak in there. I doubt I'll be in a 0 though. Even at 86 lbs I barely fit in a 0.
Where do I find Guess pants at? I guess I'll just keep looking around. I have a few pairs so I think I'm okay for now. It's just annoying.
