10 percent benzoyl peroxide (serious)

i bought quinoderm 10 percent benzoyl peroxide because its a good brand and pretty cheap

in my local pharamcy theres only 1 2.5 percent BP and thats OXY ON THE SPOT, which works well but is very expensive

if i just apply a thin layer of this quinoderm 10 percent could i still notice a decrease in acne without too much irritation?

Depends on how sensitive your skin is. It may or may not have a reaction. Though it is usually only used as a last resort for persistent acne. I have used 10% BP before & didn't have a problem with it & it usually works well if you have white heads (puss filled bumps). It will dry them right up & they tend to flake off. The best thing to do is test it on a small patch of skin overnight first or for about two days & if you do not have a severe reaction, continue to use it. I warn you though, moisturise! Your skin will be so dry it will feel as though someone has clamped your mouth shut when you try to speak.

If the BP doesn't work, i would reccomend seeing a derm. for a possible accutane course. I had to in the end & it cleared everything right up. Good luck! .

P.S. - I am no doctor, just speaking from personal experience. As said in the above post, you may or may not want to consult a GP first.

ooops ive already slapped some of that **** on lol

its been 2 hours and its slightly slightly red, but just the same redness and soreness as when i was using 2.5 percent oxy on the spot

Yea ddue, way too much.... will eat your skin, theres articles all over the internet about people using the strong peroxcide, it will bleach your skin and sometimes eat away at it.

Most people obtain better results with 5% than with 10%. 10% will severely dry your face and can even cause scars in your skin. Neutrogena "On the Spot" works pretty good and does not cause much irritation.

update: washed that **** off and bunged lots of moisturiser on

stings a little but not too much

I thought 10% was standard. I must have read that somewhere 15 years ago, and just assumed I knew what I was reading.

Oxy-10 was called Oxy-10 because it had 10% BP right? Perhaps that was another assumption of mine.

my acnes not that bad at all, from a few metres away my face looks completly clear, but i was perscribed 10%

on my back its worked a dream, basically all gone in a week and a half! iv tried loads of other stuff which had done nothing,

as for my face it gets really dry, so i only do it once every other day, itches and hurts a bit, but worth it if its working

it's a large size, doesn't irritate like the 10%, and works just as well. it's also a clear gel as opposed to a gross white cream.

Keep dosage low especially for the face. have used 2.5 and 5% with success. Some people get lots of pimples during the first few days on treatment. It is completely normal.

ive been using oxy on the spot on my face, and quinoderm 10 percent on my neck

my face is practically clear now with a litte redness, and my neck is half clear but theres a mother ****ing exma rash there and its itchy as hell, but im not itching it
