After Show Cheats!!
I was in the nutrition forum before and all the guys had posted what they cheated on after their shows. Some of the amounts of food was crazy. So I thought us girls could start a thread on what we cheat on after shows? Also one more question I have a show this saturday, than another one in three weeks? Would it be okay for me to cheat on saturday night, or would it hinder me for the next show? Any suggestions would be great.
My cheats would definetly be:
McDonalds McFlurry
Any kind of cereal
Thai Food
Sushi, sushi, sushi including all the tempera which is soooo good!!
Cheesecake!!
I would love to hear what everyone else likes to eat after shows?

I don't like to promote cheat meals as all out binges so I always advise just a cheat MEAL, meaning and entree and dessert...ONE!! Especially if you have a show coming up. And if you don't you can always eat more tomorrow
I typically eat whatever I feel like eating after a show and it usually isn't terribly greasy or anything because my body can't handle it at that point! But if I do know girls who have to diet really hard to prepare and if they have shows close together, they may only eat a chicken salad or something as a cheat and get right back on the cardio and contest diet first thing the next morning. It all depends on your body and what you need to look like for the next one. In some cases (like mine) a cheat can help refuel a depleted body.
Personally, after a show I like pizza and ice cream But often my stomach can't take a ton of food so I will even eat dessert first! That way, I get my treat in and if I still have room afterwords, I'll munch on an entree
The main things I avoid are PROTEIN BARS! Those things call to me but they KILL my stomach. But for some crazy reason they are so appealing after a show!!

I have a show in 2 and half weeks and my plan is for Pizza and Ice Cream afterwards, or maybe Carrot cake! OMG! I cant decide!!!
And in response to the protein bars...I cant even have them in my house atm....uh ya...lol
Me and the hubby also want to go out for breakfast (havent done that in ages it seems) So that will prolly consist of French Toast or Pancakes!!!..............ok, Im losing my mind now

Cheat Meal :)
Hi There
I just competed in a show on the 18th of May, and had another on the 25th - one week later. As per instruction from my trainer - it was a good wholesome cheat meal after the first comp - steak and potatoes - yum which really helped to re-fuel for the next long week ahead. But on Monday morning (show was on Sunday), it was back to comp diet and cardio.
After the 2nd show, there were so many things I wanted, but my body just could not handle too much by that stage, and I had to go really easy for the first 3 or 4 days - but it has all settled now, and I am back to eating normal healthy meals to fuel the heavier work-out.
Good luck with your comps Scarl3tbutt3rfly and Megs - have fun

I have a show in 5 1/2 weeks and then another one 10 weeks after that. After the first show I know that I will eat/drink the following: Tall latte with soymilk and Splenda from Starbucks. In the morning I'll def. have my oatmeal with apple, raisins and cinnamon, and maybe french toast with almonds and cinnamon Then probably sushi or a steak with a loaded sweet potato and steamed broccoli. And maybe some icecream or cheesecake. Then for the following 3-4 weeks, I'll eat clean with one cheat meal a week, and then back on my pre-contest diet for 6 weeks to do my last show this year. And after the second show.. Probably the same thing, latte, oatmeal etc. etc.... I'm not really into Mac D or french fries or that kind of stuff, so I never really crave it. Except a good quality pizza of course

this can be dangerous ground. Pre contest deprivation can lead to post show binges which are NOT going to make you happy the next day/weeks to come. Don't get too obsessed about what you are going to have after your show. I usually choose a restaurant meal of steak, baked potato and veggies and have a small dessert. I don't pig out in my off season so why would I do it post show? The rebound and guilt can be atrocious and it's really hard on your body.
Then, the next week relax on your diet but try to stick to 80 percent clean/20 percent dirty... that type of thing. Ease out of your diet.

Your advice is always so perfect. Reading this is making me feel a little more of control. I have good days and bad days when I think about it, but ya, I dont want to feel terrible after either. Precomp diet I had a once a week cheat meal, so I will prolly go back to that anyway, so no need to get 'crazy' the day after the show either. Like I said in the other post, will prolly be a nice breakfast and some pizza and small dessert the day after...then I will eat back on diet starting Monday, I figure Friday, cheat meal day again, and time to start getting my diet back on track before competition.
