"I've started cutting, the diet i'm on is much the same as bulking but even stricter. The only carbs I have are 100% wholegrain quaker oats, a little wholegrain rice and green vegetables. I may have fruits but I haven't yet so far. The only fats are whatever happens to be on the lean meat, which is virtually nothing. And fats from nuts and seeds. Drinks are always water. Everything else is various proteins.
Okay so what do you guys reckon? Should I cut out the rice, or should it be okay? I don't think it's a good idea to cut carbs to virtually nothing. It's pretty damn low already. But not sure about the rice, I think it's okay otherwise I wouldn't be having it.
Which would then leaves oats and vegetables. The only one of the two I like is oats so i'd rather have more of that and less of the other. Although I will continue to have both. But this leads me to the main query, what do you guys reckon an acceptable amount of oats is to have per day? I was thinking maybe I could have some more in place of other stuff to make the diet not so disgusting. Because most of the stuff i'm having is stuff I don't like. I quite like the oats though. Plus it's hard to make 6 meals a day from the ingredients at hand, and i'm sick of them to start with, but I manage. :-S
So far I have oats once a day in the morning with whey and egg whites. So I can get some carbs out of the way early. Just before that I do cardio. Every other meal is meat, nuts/seeds, or whey. With the meat dishes i'll have either the wholegrain rice or the greens. And I get all the carbs out of the way in the first half of the day. I have the meats plain and have lean meats like fillet beef steak, fillet chicken breast and sometimes salmon. The meats are left plain so this is an extra monotonous and nasty experience. But I will be having two dishes with the chicken breast, one basted in tomato and one basted in chilli and lime. Well I think it's basting, I don't know anything about cooking terms. They're lean fillet chicken breast as mentioned above.
Any amendmends I should be making that anyone can see?
Any ideas I could add that would make the diet, overall, a bit less horrid?
I was having wholegrain bread when on bulking a little in the mornings, separate meal from the oats though of course, but I stopped that now, because I don't think I can get away with having that. It was probably the least clean thing in my diet, but still not so bad since it is wholegrain, but now i'm on cutting I think I have to be even more strict. So that's out. Anyone think it would be okay to leave it in? I doubt it myself.
By the way take note, my genetics are the worst ever, especially for losing fat, so I can't really get away with anything and need to be ultra strict if there's any chance of it working.
Other things to note. I'll be doing my normal buffing routine but with frequent cardio. The only supplement I have is ON whey.
Also please check out my query about cheat days if you get the chance as it kinda relates to this. I've not posted it yet but will after this one.
Thank y'all kindly if anyone can give any feedback regarding this cutting diet."
Thanks..
