Curt, I am out of the MT contest, but the BATTLE TO THE DEATH is being reignited. YOU HEAR ME. Starting new workout program today, details will be in workout journal. You, sir have been challenged to a duel........"slaps Curt with glove"....
Does it have to be a glove? How about one of those big "NUMBER ONE" fingers pointing in the air. Those Nerf hand things, you know?
Well, I am at about 185 to your, what, 310? Who's challenging who, Big Al? We're setting 240 as our goal weight, right?
(reaches for calculator)
I'm 55 lbs. away to your 70 lbs. to the target, so it looks like we both have some work ahead of us.
It's on!

I'm at about 180 and Al, my brother in bending iron, is at about 310.
So, to visualize where we're each at in relation to the goal, let's go to the KERMIT-VISION GRAPH!
180------------240--------------310
240 - 180 = 60
310 - 240 = 70
So we're about on the same playing field from the perspective of pounds to goal. I have no clue what my percent bodyfat is. The last I checked was maybe a freaking year ago at least at Gold's here in Carlisle and it was fifteen? Not even sure. It was a handheld electronic unit the guy at the gym used.
The scale I purchased is a Weight Watchers deal that lists %bf. THAT fcuker says I'm 184.7 pounds and 21.7 percent FAT. Son of a...
Maybe we should adjust our competition to who can shed the most fat and build the most muscle? Naaah. I'm good with 240 as a goal. I'd be happy to hit 170 and 5% bf. I'd be ripped and with at least a Kermit-sized portion of diesel-ish muscle, right?
Okay, off to a baseball game tomorrow with my two younger brothers so I better get to bed now. Rockies versus the Phillies. We're cheering for the Rockies because, hey, it's my brother's favorite team.

For the 5 lbs, actually at 315 this morning, but whos counting, wait I am!!! Hope you had a nice time at the game, they are always fun, we usually hit Cleveland or Toronto when we go. We are going to a couple of our minor leauge team's games this summer though. The Buffalo Bisons, its a good time to.
Had a nice Birthday/holiday weekend, ate too much, but no ALCOHOL. So I am well on my way there. See you at 240.....

I was almost 185, so I erred on mine by 5, too.

It was great. The Rockies had a rough time, though, losing to the Phillies 20-5. Lots of injuries on their team - including two Rockies pitchers! And a destroyer named Chase Utley for the Phils didn't help either!

Birthday/holiday weekend here as well. My brother turned 38. Ate too much but no alcohol. Empty calories, brother. And somethingsomething cortisol. Alcohol is no friend to a physique regardless of Arnold's comment: "Milk is for baby's. Beer is for men."
Congratulations on the alcohol-free bday, Al.
I'm taking a serious break from the booze, but have read (and believe) that a glass of wine or two 12-ounce bottles of beer a day actually helps a person's health.
...
I've just normally had a problem stopping at the two beer. It's like one chip.
"Why, yes, thank you. I'll have just that one M&M." No.

haHA! We're both slackers, bro. No pics. No measurements. My camera ran out of juice and I got a bunch of blurry garbage from June 1. Never did take measurements. The waistline is being highly UNcooperative. How goes it?
Yo, I KNOW you're fearin' the frog!

My new measurements were posted on my profile but for you, here they are

And, hey, it doesn't count unless it appears here in The Battle Zone!
TAKEN 6/18/08
Weight: 182.8 (I'm losing ground, dammit!)
BF%: 21.5 (According to my WW scale.)
Chest: 45" (Flexing, inhaling, and expanding like h e l l!!!)
biceps: 14.5" (Lose weight? So long to the fifteen-inch toy gunz. )
Hips: 39"
waist: 36" (B-b-but I just ate! Wah!)
Thighs: 23.5"
calves: 15.5"
Forearms: 12.25"
Neck: 14.5"
Shoulders: 48" (Tape run around my shoulders, no big inhale, just standing there wondering why my shoulders aren't broad as h e l l. Curse you, short clavicles!*)
Seriously, j/k about cursing the clavicles. Rory Leidelmeyer was on NBR and told of his getting cancer in his one clavicle. Wtf! They had to do some kind of bone graft. So no curses on any of my bones. No!
L.T. says (in his blog) Leidelmeyer has been encountering some troubles: "A car accident, which resulted in a broken neck, and bone cancer (he says it's in remission) are two of the tough times I write about."
If you've never heard of Leidelmeyer a.k.a. the greatest bodybuilder never to earn pro status, here's a pic:
And another much more recent pic of (L-R) Shawn Ray, Rory (bandana) and L.T.
What a jerk. Built like a beast AND a full head of hair. This guy obviously has a severe attitude problem. lol Seriously, he was one of my favorites. Jim Manion, IFBB Prez, apparently was p!ssed that Leidelmeyer refused to compete against Lee Haney at the first NPC Nationals.
Okay, I'm plum outta bodybuilding trivia, Al.
