My opinion only, but it is based on weight loss experience...nutrition is the key. Make sure her diet consists of enough protein, limit carbs, but don't cut them out completely and healthy fats only. What worked for me during my weight loss was 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% protein. I weight trained 4-5 days per week (heavy as I could & always intense) and did about 20-30 minutes of cardio 3 days per week. The type of cardio doesn't really matter, but, again, keep it intense. HIIT is great.

Prior to changing my diet, I got decent results, but after changing it, I got phenomenal results.
