Wink Sumisan's giving keto a run for it's money!

I'm back to getting serious about my diet and exercise. I have been still working at it unofficially, so have made progress, but now I just want to get it done and over with!

Starting Keto on Tuesday May 27th. (Honestly I want to enjoy memorial day LOL)

My goal is to lose 2 lbs a week for the next 6 weeks. (my birthday in July 5th, though I have no reason to make that a goal date, it is a happy coincidence.)

Current weight: 155
Height: 5'9''

Final Goal Weight for cut is 140, then its bulking time 4 MuSkLeS!

Wish me Luck!

Your first week will be tough. I just got through mine. I cheated a couple times I won't lie. But. Sometimes the wagon turns over. You just need to set it back straight again. Whatever you do don't let the wheels fall off. Try hard and post in your log when you are feeling depressed or low on energy. Punish yourself the next day if you cheat. You will eventually grow to like flogging yourself with the whip. At about day 3, 4, and 5 I was whipping myself like crazy. Stay strong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do yourself a favor and try to control your eating this weekend.

Also, come tuesday, you may want to try eating 70-80% fat for 2-3 days. The start can be rough. The extra fat will speed the process up and provide extra energy as well.

Good luck!

Thanks Lastset & Atavis!

I am spending the weekend doing as much research and prep I can for this

Lastset, ROFL on the flogging, but good tip LOL

Atavis: Thats interesting about the extra fat the first few days, I will check it out!

As a background about 8 months ago I went on the Velocity diet. I was on it for about 10 days and broke through a stall in my weigh loss but honestly if I never see or smell another scoop of protein again in my life I will be one happy chicka. I may have to get ver that with this diet, but at least its not the same thing all day long.

Well I am excited to start this, it's really perfect timing, in 2 weeks my kids are flying to see their grandparents for summer vacation and will be gone for 9 weeks. That will help since I wont have to cook for them as well.

I will post my food plan for next week after I get it all worked out.

Macro's: 65F 30P 5C

Weight: 155
BF%: ~24 (I cant find my calipers!)

RMR: 1497

I work as a cashier for 8 hours a day and regularly have to stand for long periods including getting up and down a zillion times while trying to complete desk work at the same time. This was a huge jump in activity level for me. I had previously been just a SAHM, so I know it's not sedentary! So I used the lightly active multiplier for my daily calorie expenditure.

based on RMR: 2058

Now we create the deficit: -608 (why? i want it to be an even number LOL)

My calorie goal: 1450

I read somewhere that you shouldn't go below your RMR but this is so close I think it will be fine, especially since I'm a girl and we tend to have slower metabolisms.

Breakdown of Calories and Grams needed to be in ketosis at 1450 calories:

................Calories.............Grams
Fat.............942.50................104
Protein..........435..................109
Carbs...........72.5..................24

Hopefully I did that right...

Great progress this far.

Keto is definitely great for losing fat.

Looks like you have everything figured out to give it a good start. Make sure to keep your log updated so you can get continuous feedback.

Good luck.

Delay but started!

Ok:

Sunday: Chest & Back - Diet Normal
Monday: Plyometrics - Diet Normal
Tuesday: Arms & Shoulders - Diet 40g carbs including recovery drink

Plan for tomorrow: try and get those carbs healthier, my post workout recovery drink wasn't what it should have been....but its an easy fic now that I'm all stocked up

Sore but feeling well, no keto symptoms, wasnt expecting any lol

Sexyback27: Sounds great, hows it coming?
Perkins: thanks! i'm excited to get down and dirty with this

Woke up feeling hung over today, not sure if its the lack of carbs or what...felt ok by end of day, still no carb cravings!

Looking like I lost some bloat that was going on recently. Nice plus, though im peeing all the time LOL

feeling really good, still not missing carbs.

I have found a few almonds totally satisfy my need for crunch. Tried pork rinds again... i still hate them LOL

Bought a Lean Mean Grilling Machine and LOVE IT! I dont care if it reduces fat...it makes a mean steak in 5 minutes... Im in heaven!

Salad bars rock, my favorite salad is: green leaf lettuce, diced ham or chicken, blue cheese or feta, a sprinkle of sunflower seeds or toasted almonds, with pico de gio and dressing. Yum.

doubt im in ketosis yet though, I am still getting just around 50 carbs a day. Though I feel thinner...but i think i just lost some post tom bloat...but who knows...I don't believe in scales!!!

Need to do chest & back in the morning.

so far happy since I feel better than before... its kinda weird!

Thats the way it worked out. Warning warning keto police lol kidding! Anyway it seems to be working.....that included my recovery drink and i didnt subtract fiber...still I'm working on getting it lower lol but thats why i said i doubt im in ketosis yet...

ok well aside from that, this morning I am definitly seeing some results, I can always tell if I lost weight by my stomach and its getting really flat, so yay!

I read somewhere you can eat a few more carbs and it just takes a little longer to get into ketosis...not sure where lol but anyway I didnt want to get back to that whole bit LOL

Still feeling great, having no problems with craving carbs!
