Looking for some advice
Hey All.
I'm going to reach most of my fitness goals in the next year or so, and have some decisions to make. I'm in retail right now and getting tired of it.
A trainer asked what I'm going to do once I reach my fitness goals. Right now two things come to mind either become a fitness instructor (teaching spin classes primarily), or become a Personal Trainer. I'll be in my mid 40s when I make the change. By then I'll have lost well over 70lbs of fat, so either way I'll be a great source of inspiration.
Thanks
Jeff

Should have been more clear.
What are the real differences between the two, and which would be better for me?

i believe if you just teach the spin class, all you'll be getting paid for is teaching that class for that particular time.
there is a big difference with being a fitness instructor and personal trainer. For one thing, personal training is a one on one thing. You'll be able to connect on a whole different level and get ppl towards their goal faster and more efficiently. While teaching a class you still instruct ppl, but you'll be spreading yourself thin as far being able to help people with form and technique.

I agree with mrgeecue. It basically comes down to what you want to do. If you enjoy helping people and love seeing the results that you have helped with than go personal trainer. If you enjoy working out and want to make some extra money, go with the fitness instructor.
