I want to wish everyone good luck!
See you all on July 14th!
I don't have time for this crap anymore...
And on a side note Need4Pain - You are one of Jerome's "buddies".
He likes to crap here, and then he leaves you a comment on your profile: Hey check out what's going on the MT thread...look what I've done.
Check out all of the haters.
And then you post on his: Going to check it out, right now.
Jerome is an attention whore, he doesn't care how he gets it as long as he gets it.
It is all about training at this time, 8 weeks left.
So I am going to shut up and train.
I don't hate anyone....nothing but love
7/14/08 comes fast...

Liquid_diet came out of nowhere to question a participant's posing. I just thought that was ridiculous. Your comments, while similar in nature, just seem more arrogant (perhaps well deserved based on your physique, hey) and adversarial/confrontational.

Some people find it very easy to maintain that level of lean, however they may not have the muscle size or the same aesthetics. Bodies and body types possess an incredible diversity.

5 things that have helped
1,the Hydroxycut and Nitro-tech seemed to have helped a lot
2, Nicer weather has helped, as with sweatshirts I just look like another small old guy
3,The charts on bodyspace let me see that I am ahead of last year
4,Haveing Curt James on this thread helps because he is another person my age, being older makes it more of an uphill climb
5,Wanting to show a former coworker that I can slim down my belly has helped a lot, last year she did the px90 thing and did well. I could tell that it took a lot of work

I am basically weak as can be after the knee injury!
Any suggestions?

i'd go for an upper/lower, or a push/pull/legs type of split and then on the 4th day either restart the cycle doing a push or use that day to work on a weakness or maybe do abs or something. ohh and in general 4 is better than 3. on a side note, full body training is really good on fatloss diets when you reduce the rest times or do it in a circuit fashion...

Thanks for your input. I was thinking of full body as well..but I usually don't feel progress that way. I think I am going to start with the upper/lower split..probably supersets or circuit. See how the next 4 weeks pan out then switch it up in the final 4.

what type of progress are u referring to? strength gains? fat loss? teh muscle building? There are limitations in Full body training as is there are benefits that aren't seen in other types of routines. (If u'd like to know more of these benefits/limitations them pm me)
Yeah that upper/lower split would work good for u and definitely throw in 1 or 2 supersets each session. Or just do a mini circuit at the end of ur workout.

Hey man we are in the same boat. Yes, I was already in shape, but I used MuscleTech products to dial myself in for my First contest.
You have done this before, and will do it again to your advantage. I have never entered a transformation contest, and will not do so again until I truly feel like I am doing something special.
Best of luck to you, but no matter how perfect your diet and training are, you might as well adress your entire "supplement" regimen.

Hi! I'm in!
Hi there! Best of luck to all of the competitors! I joined today and will post Before pics this evening. I'm quite disgusted with the pics and will have to swallow my pride and just post them.
Nice to "meet" all of you!

Great work everyone.. I can't wait to see the final "after" pictures that YOU ALL have been working so hard at Some people need to be a little more humble and not so arrogant.
Let him speak his mind and no one reply to it.. lol no fuel for his "fire" as keeps calling it.

Dont care to be a PRO but thanks. Complain, i dont complain...simply make statement and voice my opinion. Happy, very very happy. You dont have to wait, i have pics up....soak it up Screw humble...why, whats the point? AHHH dont hate, appreciate girly!

True and i admire that you can stay in that shape because i know 1st hand its VERY HARD ESPECIALLY with a family! Kudos, transformation or not....i can see you worked hard. Just compound stress and you'll get out of shape quick then you'll need to find a transformation contest to get you back into shape. I got married, gained 50lbs 5 years ago....since then i started back bodybuilding not to chase tail but for myself.
Best of luck...sorry for the harsh words but if anyone attacks me...i do so 10fold..not my best quality.

I dont understand how some of you can post so long on bodybuilding forums? I tried that before and it is so hard...work, spending time with my wife and family???
This isnt a personality contest, people! Get your butt in gear and go train your ass off and diet and eat right!! Go on this bord before you go to bed but be sure you get a lot accomplished before the day ends!
Dont attack Jerome just because it the "Hate Jerome Bandwagon" and because you want to be the moral majority on here and gain everyone's acceptance.
Do you think Jerome is loosing sleep? No!! He is treating this a a personal contest as am I! So you better be sure that you arent cheating on your nutriton, making sure you do your cardio, taking your supplements, ect!
Because in the end, its your results and transformation that will speak for itself!
Do you guys really want this bad enough? Or are you guys being lazidazical and taking it all in stride with that "lala la la mentelity?
Jerome really touched a nerve in a lot of people. Personally I know he is right....you cant cheat experience. Its human natrure and some of you know deep in your hearts that Jerome is right.
So what are you going to do about it, people? Are you going to prove Jerome right? Or are you going to complete your task at hand and for some of you guys a personal mission, and come out wih a transfomation thats going to blow your peers out of the water and impress yourself and others around you? Or are you going to look mediocre coming out with the same old mediocre physique wishing I shoulda, woulda, coulda?
You guys are in charge of your own destiny.... what Jerome has said, you should be using that to productive and using it to insipre you to bring your best package ever....
I challenge you all to do that.... for me, I freakin fear Jerome and a lot of competitors on here! Thats why Im making sure I train my ass off! Because I dont want people to surpass me and I dont want to be left behind when it comes to results! The gym I train sux and a lot of equipment is old, broken, outdated....but I am making due with what I have.
Come July 14th or July 15th? I want to see incredible transformations! And nothing less. Is this a deal? Because if not a lot of people will know that you didnt put in as much as you could have.... take it from someone who has competed in a NPC contest before...I should know...and Jerome knows this as well. We both know who has put in the time and effort... at the end of this...dont let the **** talking start, because we will all know who gave it their all and who didnt.... so put down those bon bons, pizza slices, potato chips, ect and get back on track!
Like Curt_James said, "This is War!". Treat it as such!!
|
KUDOS BRO! I couldnt have articulated that better than you bro LOL

Hey, thanks for the ALSO AN OLD MAN nod of approval.
X2 on the "uphill climb". I skipped cardio today and am rethinking or reconsidering my scheduled rack deadlifts for tomorrow's workout as my knees, yes, BOTH OF THEM, are BARKING!
Although it sounds more like "You is old! You is ooooold!" instead of "Woof! Woof!"

Oh so good..
That is how I felt today! It feels so good to be back and I am going to keep posting it until this 8 weeks is up and this Boston girl becomes FINE as WINE!
I decided to keep my old pics because hey..that is where I started, knee injury and all. I will be posting some new ones in about 4 weeks. I lost so much time and its all about making up for it!
Keeping training hard..you ALL are doing great!

well bro there is NO MONEY in it that is the major reason along with health! only 3% of the pros actually make a good living. i compete because i love bodybuilding. i admire and respect the pros because they dont just work 8 hour days 5 days a week, its game on 24-7!

Full body workouts 4x's a week though? Sounds like that could be a recipe for overtraining...
