Smile Heavy lifting pre-comp for figure?

I have one wacky question: is it Okay to continue lifting heavy (as in 6-10 reps each lift) while dieting for a competition? Even all the way up to the last 4 weeks or so, before increasing reps? I am 10 weeks away from the NPC, and don't want to shrivel away to nothing. Or, when would you recommend increasing the reps a little?

Thanks for your time! The NPC is a little intimidating!

Do you have a trainer? If so s/he should have this planned out already.

IMO you should pretty much continue lifting "Heavy" or similar to what got you your physique right up to the week before the show. You are correct in assuming you may loose LBM by going to high reps. You may want to alternate Heavy & Lighter days.

I keep lifting heavy until very close to the show (2 weeks-ish), when I am worried about injury. What built it while in caloric excess will retain it while in deficit.

Welcome to the NPC!
