I love mixing in a half cup of cottage cheese with some chopped up strawberries and a container of vanilla yogurt. More creamy, hides the taste, etc. I have this for breakfast all the time.

Even the thought of CC makes me wanna hurl - no matter what I tried adding to it, I just couldn't get past the lumpy texture of it. I really REALLY want to like the stuff, coz I know it's a great source of protein, but I can't even look at it w/o getting the dry heaves.
Hope fully some CC guru will post suggestions/recipes that can help both of us.

Try the whipped cottage cheese by Friendship. The texture is MUCH easier to handle I mix mine with chocolate protein powder and pretend I'm having pudding. I used to hate the stuff too and still wouldn't eat "regular" cottage cheese.

I was looking for something sweet and chocolate the other day so I mixed chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, and CC. Then I had the idea to add oats. It was yummy! I had some again today.

Ya'll are crazy. That's good eatin' right there.
Seriously, I do the peanut butter, cinnamon, Davinci syrup tricks too, but my all time favorite is to mix half a cup with the Dannon light and fit low sugar yogurt( 4 oz servings). Not clean eats, but I don't have it daily...Okay that's a lie I totally have it every day.

If the texture is the problem, whip it in the blender with a little milk... it gets very creamy. I often whip cottage cheese & fat free yogurt (sometimes add: protein powder, fruit, sugar free jellies, or sugar free syrups) or I whip cottage cheese & pumpkin puree (plus cinnamon, sf maple syrup, splenda.)
I add cottage cheese to almost everything... salads, scrambled eggs (it melts well), tuna mixtures, cereal, fruit salads. Experiment & I am sure that you will find something you like.

Greek yogurt has basically the same macros minus the sodium and a smooth consistency

Personal opinion, if you don't like it don't eat it! Find another equivilant like mentioned above Greek Yogurt.
You could also try different brands of CC. And try different curds as well as Fat-Free, Low-Fat, or regular.
