We are so much alike it's kind of crazy lol. I feel the exact same as you (having just looked in the mirror and now not liking anything), but we just need to push it aside, look at our goals, set our mind to it and get back into the swing of things. I know it's hard not to sit and dwell on such things but we have to keep on pushin. You've made some amazing progress and shouldn't feel so down.

To be honest, Mandy, I made tons of progress, mentally and muscle wise while still enjoying treats! It is NOT a bad thing...it's a positive step for you! Keeps the body guessing and it's mentally good for you to see that you can relax on things and enjoy some yummy food and that it will NOT keep you from reaching your goal! Part of that ultimate goal should be a healthier relationship with food, which includes treats w/out feeling guilt! You are dedicated and determined..I know I used to be afraid that I'd start "backsliding" and never want to eat healthy again and that's just silly! After a day or a couple days of eating some treats, I crave my oats, egg whites and protein ice cream!

It seems like for many, a big key is being able to let the occasional time when you go off diet not be a reason to go into a total binge. Somehow it seems harder to have a controlled diet break than to be completely strict on a tough diet.
If you can master that, though, an occasional time when you aren't so strict shouldn't set you back much. I hope that you're having a good time and not letting the irritations and diet worries keep you from having fun.

I was going to give you a pep talk but everyone else already said what I would of so I'll tell you what all of them tell me. Don't be so hard on yourself. Life is a series of steps and as long as you move mostly forward, you'll be okay. Though there are some day I still expect to wake up 50 pounds heavier again. But back to you, life is for living and practicing balance is a skill. You will have great weeks and you will have horrible weeks - and that doesn't just apply to working out and eating plans. Accept that some days your best won't be what you think it ought to be.

Thought I would share a motto that has helped me through every part of my life, esp here and with food when you are feeling a bit down, ready for it? drum roll please: Moderation in all things
If you think that way there is no black and white with anything and no good or bad foods. Just simply moderation....
Enjoy your time with your hunny! (and thank you for sharing your yummy food with us )

Hey Mandy!!
Don't feel bad about the food ... you have been doing awesome, it's not as if you eat out all the time, and a treat is not going to hurt you - as everyone has said so far, moderation!!! Enjoy yourself tonight!!

Hey Hey Mandy
Thanks for posting your weekend....I ejoyed the read. But in the same sense, I am sorry for the SIL drama.
I can't stand people like her!
I know it can be hard, but when around her (or people like her) Just 'smile and nod' , not really in agreeance, but just for the sanity of yourself. Knowing that hard work is the cause of your weight loss success.
And that ANYONE with ANY Genetics can overcome their weight/health issues.
...Ahhh, you know all this already I don't need to say all over again lol
Stay true to yourself, be happy, keep up with your training and diet, and Enjoy Life!

I am glad that you had a great weekend depsite the SIL and her unnecessary words. You have been doing an amazing job transforming your body and also changing your way of thinking when it comes to food. As everyone has mentioned, eating a little off your normal routine is a good thing - not a negative Balance and moderation are key for success and happiness
Have a wonderful day!!!

Don't stress it sweetie! You eat healthy 99% of the time so will a few treat days really effect your overall progress? I THINK NOT! I'm glad you told that silly billy SIL off. A comment like that would have ticked me off as well! The nerve of some people! Enjoy your time with Josh!

Yep - she is crazy!! I've been craving a calzone for a LONG time and the spinach one was amazing! Very much worth an upset stomach. Did you know Mango has never had one? We've got to expose her to this yumminess

Hi there!
I've heard really good thinks about Body Flow!

So I lost it in the middle of the BBQ - especially when she made the comment how EASY it is to lose the weight. Um...I've busted my ass for a year crazy lady so shove that up your A$$!! That's cool that you were able to speak your mind! And kinda "stick up for everyone" in the process... I love it when people blame weight gain on bad genetics and use it as an excuse not to do anything. My parents didn't give me the best genetics in the world, but I try hard, damn it! LOL!
Mmmmmm calzones are yummy! I tried making a homemade one at one time... it was sooooo good - but a lot of work!
I'm glad you got to spend time with Josh!
