queens is bad in some places, alright in others. was fortunate to move a couple of years ago, now i live on long island which is much better in most areas (mine is a decent area). might sounds corny but i just say forgetting sarah marshall and the scenary was amazing and i would love to go there. i feel like its such a laid back environment, i cant take the ny fast paced lifestyle anymore

All the tourist hotspots are pretty laid-back, the real part is pretty normal.
Lots of beaches, good places to surf / bodyboard / body surf. Thrill of your life. And lots of great food, but
AT WHAT COST???

i have very little money lol, thats why i have been taking mini vacations along the east coast. id really like to try something new though, would be willing to spend a couple of thousand and if i were to stay a month or so get a job.

Astoria, Oregon here.... pretty cool town
If you don't know it, Kindergarden cop was filmed there with Arnold, i've skated and hungout at the same school they filmed it.... they donated a huge play ground for the kids in the back after the movie.
Also Free Willy, and The Goonie's....
