Pull up techniques?
Hi all,
I'm 24 at a moderate level of fitness. I've found that my back is my weakest area that needs work. I've always wanted to be able to do pullups. Currently, I can't do 1. Any advice on methods to conquer the pullup?

Your gym may have a pullup machine. It assists the pullup with a counterweight, effectively reducing your bodyweight. Aim for 8 reps, 3 sets. Start with whatever assistance makes you hit failure at around 8-8-6(in the general range). Every time you hit 8-8-8, decrease the amount of assistance. Add in some lat pulldowns on back days and you should be doing bodyweight pullups in weeks.

Negatives, jumping pull-ups, assisted pull-ups w/bands, and kipping pull-ups will all help.
