Hey BH,
Dang are you growing fast. Fantastic. I remember writing something after your accident that you would pass me by spring on everything... Great for you, not so much for me.
Hard work makes a body hard... I guess. Keep it up.

1 question though
I do have one question, on your biceps
have you over the years focused on getting them peaked like that or is it a byproduct on just adding mass.
Is it a combination of targetted training and general mass building or do you do many bicep specific excercises?

I have short biceps, I can put two fingers between my forearm and bicep. For years I tried to get a full bicep but I finally realized it is all about genetics. With that said I then started doing exercises to "enhance" the appearance of the bicep peaks.

IMO and what work the best for me was incline db curls done simultaneously with a twist at the bottom and again at the top. Best bicep peak exercise EVER. If done correctly your bicep will feel like two softballs under your skin.
I am going to video tape it for one of the members here how I perform them. If you want I will send it to you as well.

I would appreciate that. I will pm you my email. Suggestion: you could post it on youtube making it a lot easier for you to share when you want.

I know I am late here, but you've made amazing progress! I especially noticed your biceps.
Question about short vs. long biceps. How do you determine which you have? I always assumed mine were long. It's very hard for me to develop a peak.

make a bicep, with your fist facing your face (typical bicep pose). Take your other hand and see how many fingers you can put between your bicep and your forearm. two and up short bicep less than one Long bicep.
Now for good measures keep the bicep flex and turn the fist away from your fast (That will elongate the bicep) See how close it gets to the forearm, no space very long bicep still some space very short bicep.

I believe mine are long. I can get 1 finger and my fingers are tiny. Isn't it harder to build a peak, if you have long biceps vs. short?

Peaks are genetic if you don't have a peak you will never have a peak, if you have a short bicep you will never get a long bicep.
However if you have a peak you can adjust your workouts to hit the peak (i.e Incline DB curls, one arm concentration curls) and if you have a long bicep you can adjust your workouts to hit the lower part of the bicep (i.e Preacher curls, spider curls)

I definitely need to adjust to hit the lower part. I don't do preacher curls much, if at all.
What is a spider curl?
Any other bicep exercises that hit the lower part of the bicep?

It isn't actually hitting the "lower" part per-se as the biceps contracts as a whole but more along the lines of getting a full ROM.
When working on the peak you concentrate more on the top of the movement, Arms flexed, contract and hold and when you are working to elongate the bicep (but you HAVE to have a long bicep) you concentrate more on the bottom of the movement, arm extended.
Spider curls is just a different variation of a preacher curl, typically your hand spacing is closer about 2 inches apart.

Interesting. I generally concentrate more on the bottom of the movement when doing any bicep work. Maybe that explains why my bicep is elongated (aside from genetics). So, I will concentrate more on the top of the movement, to work on buidling a peak.
Still would like to know what a spider curl is.
